Weird...I thought UP was great, but Wall-E is my favorite Pixar movie of all time.

    To each their own.

I thought it was the best Pixar flick since Nemo.

    That's saying a lot.

The story was brilliant. Touching at moments (yes, I teared up at least twice), and then side-splitting hilarious at others.

So much good sentiment in the message. Moving on, making new memories, knowing what life is really about.

    Great stuff...

Taking the kids now this weekend (wife and I had a date weekend last week).

For the record, we saw Star Trek the next day, it was on the same level of greatness, but in a different kind of awesome way. I have not seen back-to-back really good movies in the theater in a long time. :)

i thought Up was really boring, along with Wall-E. i guess it's just personal preference. I like mostly all other pixar movies.

got back from watching the 3-d version of the film.

As usual I went in with higher than normal expectations since it was a Pixar film

and as usual not only did Pixar meet all my expectations but it exceeded them.

I thought for a "kids/family" movie there were a lot of 'dark' parts to the movie that the kids will certainly not get, but the adults and teenagers will get which add tremendous character to the film. It was touching, eye opening, flat out funny and had a bit of a "moral" at the end that wasnt preachy (which i felt wall-e became sort of at the end about the earth dying)

my old complaint about the film was casting Ed Asner for Carl Frederickson

Ed Asner has done several voice overs for characters I have seen and at least at the beginning of the film everytime carl talked I kept picturing Ed Wuncler (boondocks) and Jonah Jameson (animated spiderman series) two guys Asner supplied the voice for. It took some time to have me settle into that voice belonging to that character.

Its not Asner's fault he has a great voice over voice and it happens to me all the time with out voice-overs as well.

And as it is with Pixar films when john ratzenberger does his character it reminds me of the other characters he has done in the pixar films.
--for those who do not know john ratzenberger is the one voice actor that ties all the pixar films together, he has had a role in every pixar film.

saw imdb has it at #13 all time....i certainly do not agree with that which is probably more of a case of "its new and fresh in my mind i am judging it a 9 or 10" from a lot of people. a great movie just not the #13 best movie ever made imo.
