The first half is, the second half is increasingly unwatchable, even my kids turn it off halfway through.
wish our theaters were so ****ty up here in Nacogdoches. They should have it in 3d though, saw BOLT with my girl last year in 3d. Only good thing about the Nacogdoches theaters....You are the ONLY person in the theater. Love me some privacy and silence.
I agreed. The first half was an amazing silent film. The film went downhill for me when he enter the ship.
Don't think the 2nd half is unwatchable it just changes to a much more traditional Pixar format, lots of bright colorful action, a massive swing from the first half.
amazing how that happens, huh My Kids [son, godson, nephew] influence me too Rocket River I think we are seeing this or Land of the lost of something this weekend

I just can't watch kids movies... can't get into em, can't appreciate em. I crave violence, sex, and profanity. I've said it before... I'm enjoying the 10 year break in my life before I go back to watching kids movies with my kids. Until then I'm just like mehhhhhh.
Saw this tonight. A nearly shed a tear in the beginning of the movie (never cried during a movie before) . Really touching story.
The first part was really sad. Dug was the best character. So pure. He will win an Oscar... Myer Weiner.
Went on a date to see this move in 3D and we both liked it, cant wait to see Toy Story 3 now. And she was crying at the beginning lol. I thought the 3D was better in the previews than the movie though
Just saw it with my 3-year-old son. We liked it. The first part wasn't heart-wrenching, just told the story of the old man, set up the rest of the story and character. Great flick with good comedy and action, anyone can enjoy it, as with most Pixar movies. Upside to crummy movie theaters is that they're -much- cheaper. It was $13.50 for adult and child for me at matinee time in a swanky theater. Once the movie starts, the experience is almost the same.
Saw it yesterday and thought it was excellent, first part is really well done, the montage showing him and his wifes life was wonderful. Once it kicks afterwards and it great fun, solid script and solid performance all around.
Saw it this afternoon and really enjoyed it. One could put it in the top 10 of 3D animated movies ever and I wouldn't complain at all. It was that good.
Excellent film. It definitely had some tender moments. The animation was pretty incredible. Pretty much like any kids movie, Pixar not excluded, you know where the story is taking you, but the ride is just so damn enjoyable. The 3D is meh. First time watching something in 3D in a looong time, and it definitely is impressive compared to yesteryear. But I still only see it as niche technology. I wouldn't pay extra to see a film just because it's 3D all the time. Although this does make me curious to see Avatar. It's hard to tell where I rank this with the other Pixars, but it'd probably be near the top.
