I've watched this 5 times because that song is so pretty. Then I remembered this thing called Google and looked it up: <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/KDv3DsGjMMg?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/KDv3DsGjMMg?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I had never heard of them...........or so I thought: "The Peasalls burst onto the roots music scene as the voices behind George Clooney's fictional daughters in the film "O Brother Where Art Thou?"
Ditto, although Pitt did his best to ruin it and it could have been a bit shorter. One of my top 5 favorite westerns. The score and cinematography are top notch and really suck you in.
you would think i would have seen at least one of those two movies, but i havent. thanks and ill check out both
John Wayne was a f_g. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/-uv_WGEHr4I?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/-uv_WGEHr4I?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
I wish there were more critics with the kinda recommendation quotes like the one at the beginning of the John Wayne True Grit trailer.
No Country for Old Men followed Western tropes in a lot ways, so you know the Coens have the chops for this. Add in a slew of GREAT actors (and I've heard rumors that the actress that plays the girl is spectacular) and you've got a recipe for success. I knew about this project, and knew that Jeff Bridges was playing The Duke's former role and directed by the Coens...but I don't know how in the hell that it slipped my attention until now that Matt Damon AND Barry Peppers are in this as well. This movie is loaded.

Looks really good.
I can't wait. The film is already getting outstanding reviews and the average rate is high as well: http://www.rottentomatoes.com/m/true-grit-2010/
I love westerns and love both John Wayne and Jeff Bridges. For those who belittle Wayne's acting, try on Red River for size. A classic. Hell, he made several classics. And Jeff Bridges? I'm glad he's in the remake of True Grit, if someone decided it needed a remake. And with the Coen brothers? They decided to remake it? Hell yes, I'm excited!
Here's a new trailer. Due in theaters December 22nd. Looks like I found my Xmas day movie. <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/s8QLMWN0yNs?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/s8QLMWN0yNs?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
I rarely see movies in the theater unless I take my kids. I'll be sneaking my captain Morgans into a 10pm showing of this over the Christmas holidays. I can't wait. Cohen Bros and jeff bridges. Recipe for a new top 10 favorite movie I'm my opinion.
I saw this movie today and I absolutely loved it. I'm a big fan of Jeff Bridges, the Coen brothers, and Westerns, so I had very high expectations. I was only disappointed that the movie was not longer. I thought all the performances were terrific, and parts of the movie were quite humorous.
