So will I be lost if I have no idea about what this movie is about? Do I need to read up on it or see the first one to enjoy this?
no, I didn't know anything before hand. It did not affect my enjoyment or lack there of. there was almost nothing in the movie that was actually 3d, pretty much a waste really.
the visuals and daft punk alone make it an enjoyable watch, but the acting and plot are sometimes lacking. really no point in seeing it in 3d though
do you have eye problems? Do you think 3D is all about things popping out of your screen in some cheesy 50's red green glasses way? The depth perception was amazing in the film.
Best implementation of 3D I've seen so far in a movie (much better than avatar imo). Story was so boring tho, so much exposition over something so ridiculous no amount of explanation will make it more believable. It's a movie, we get it, we can suspend our disbelief for 2 hours w/o 1.5 hours of exposition, just show us more bike scenes/action!
I took off my glasses numerous times throughout the movie and large sections were not even filmed in 3D, as the movie states at the beginning. You must be crazy
My friend who saw the trailer to the Green Hornet said that the 3D conversion looks better than the 3D scenes in Tron and that was actually shot in 3D... I need to see the Green Hornet, can't wait!!!
A lot of Avatar felt like it was multiple layers of 2D, like a "pop up" book. I generally do not like 3D films, I would have preferred watching avatar in 2D. The 3D in Tron did a good job of differentiating the virtual world from the real world, I felt the 3D actually made the movie better. With avatar it was just distracting after awhile.
If you were TRON in Mexico, how would you call yourself? Answer: Spoiler :grin: El Trono de México - LOL
This one looks better. <object width="464" height="289" id="1969596" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" classid="clsid27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" alt="Tron: Jeremy Funny Videos"><param name="movie" value="http://embed.break.com/MTk2OTU5Ng=="></param><param name="allowScriptAccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://embed.break.com/MTk2OTU5Ng==" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowScriptAccess=always width="464" height="289"></embed></object><br><font size=1><a href="http://www.break.com/break-originals/other-funny-stuff/tron-jeremy-1969596" target="_blank">Tron: Jeremy</a> - Watch more <a href="http://www.break.com/break-originals/other-funny-stuff/" target="_blank">Funny Videos</a></font>
I saw this last night at the Edwards, I thought it was great. I loved all the old school stuff and how Jeff Bridges dreams in low resolution. Also the arcade with the Donkey Kong songs was sweet. the 3d effects worked well with that world.
This movie was intensely nerdy. Intensely. My 6 year old loved it. I nearly fell asleep. Tons of Biblical metaphor -- seriously, a lot! Overall, I'd rather have spent my money on something else.
I, too, took off my 3D glasses several times, and didn't see too much difference for a lot of the scenes. The bike scene was WAYYYYYYY too short. I thought this movie was gonna be about endless futuristic bike battles. I also think the whole "disk" thing is rather silly. We have usb's now.
