Anything with Walter Matthau and Jerry Stiller in it is worth seeing.

Plus, it has that gritty 1970s New York that seemed to be a city on the egde of falling apart completely. It's like the Bizarro version of the New York that shows up in Woody Allen movies.

And I'll add the fairly awful Tough Guys from 1986 with Burt Lancaster and Kirk Douglas to the list of movies with a train in it.

That reminds me of my favorite train-related movie scene.

In The Wrong Guy starring Dave Foley, Foley's character stands on a platform waiting to jump into a moving train. He sets himself up and waits for teh exact right moment. When an open car passes, he jumps, does a roll and... rolls right out the other side of the train car.

I was gonna include that here, and in the funniest movies thread, but I doubted anyone here had seen it. Ive mentioned it before in other threads, and no one had ever seen it.

    Definition of a hidden gem.

    " Jones...Enema Bag Jones."

" Yep, that's the guy. He does this thing where he jumps into an airduct...wow."

The evil farmer vs. the hardworking banker, etc.

Great movie. I must've just missed your previous mentions of it.

I first saw it a couple of years ago when I bought a VHS copy off of eBay. At that point, it hadn't been released in the States. Not too long after, it came out on DVD in the U.S., but I gladly double-dipped.

The train part, the part where he puts his head in the water machine (and the follow up when the Killer comes looking for him there - "Are you sure he's not an idiot?") along with the stuff you mentioned and more. HI-larious.

Mrpaige and McBeth, thanks for the tip. I hadnt heard of this movie till you guys mentioned it. I really think Dave Foley is one of the funniest actors around but for some reason hasnt done too much since Newsradio.
