I liked all the action scenes for the most part, with the exception of the Devastor sequence in two. The sequel however took all the weak points of the first film and magnified them. More John Turturo (+sidekick), more potty humor, more racial stereotypes, worse story. If Bay reigns in the stupidity a bit, I'm fine.
THe only reason I enjoyed the first one because I got geek out seeing transforming giant robots on screen. It's almost like seeing Jurassic Park for the first time. All they're doing is up the SFX and more robots and bigger destruction does not always make a better movie. This is just another Battle: Los Angeles and skyline but with a recognizable franchise name. 1 and 2 already been done so don't expect this to be any better coming from a one dimensional director such as Michael Bay. Boring...
As popcorn movies go, I liked Transformers and Jurassic Park and have watched them multiple times and I also enjoyed Battle LA ...sometimes it's just good to see stuff blow up, story and characters be damned.
i realize this is absolutely pointless to respond to...but there are few posts that have been more wronger than this one....it's among the most wrongiest posts ever. that girl's face will likely be the only thing remotely good or interesting in this gigantic turdbucket.
That's just great! You guys are about to get this moved to D&D. This movie seems to be polarizing everyone as much as an election does. Thanks everyone involved. Well, the trailer kicks ass at least. And normally I'm not one of the 'sharp knees' crowd, but someone overloaded a bit on the collagen.
On a side note, I watched the animated movie for the first time in like 20 years last night. Holy crap I didn't realize how chaotic it was. The live action movies are tame compared to that! And don't think you can really complain too much about them if you do a side by side comparison.

Dude those fat fan boys give anything and everything a good/great review. The studios fly their fat asses in to posh screenings and get them blowjobs from hookers who they could otherwise not afford. Not surprised the fattys at AICN like it.
