Shia is actually a pretty good actor; I think he gets a hold of roles (lately) where either the expectations are way too high or the fans are skeptical of the character he's playing...so he's got an uphill battle to win the fans over before the movie even premieres. The acting was just fine in the first film; the problem was that some of the characters' story arcs crashed and burn (mainly John Voight, the Australian girl, Anthony Anderson and John Turturo). And really the only actor I felt was out of place in the movie was John Turturo; his part would have been perfect for Josh Lucas (think of his role from Hulk).
My friend got fried from Ratheon because he left their booth to go be an extra on transformers. They were paying for his college and his living expenses. Worth it?
You lost me at this line. There's never been a single moment I didn't want to kick that guy in the balls.
There are way worse people. *edit* that kind of comes out wrong because I personally have no problems with him, he's a breath of fresh air when you compare him to the Abercrombie models turned bad actors that are of his generation.
Did you see the hilarious story about the extra who got thrown off the set? http://defamer.com/395718/extra-thrown-off-transformers-2-set-never-liked-mi
Megan Fox Talks Transformers 2 Just to avoid those who might grip about possible spoilers but there really aren't any here: Spoiler Megan Fox reveals ‘Transformers 2′ script re-writes, make-out scenes When Michael Bay got behind the camera for his most recent film, he chronicled a lot more than just automobiles transforming into robots from outer space. Millions of fans also watched then 21-year-old Megan Fox transform from an obscure actress best remembered for a Lindsay Lohan movie into one of the most desired hotties on the planet. Now, the “Transformers” star is back on the set with Michael Bay – and true to the director’s favorite word, she says he’s making an awesome sequel. “As big as the first movie was, this is 10 times as big, 10 times as many set pieces, explosions, and acrobatic stunts,” she told us about “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen. “Shia and I make out a little bit; I don’t know if anyone wants to see that.” Something tells us that Shia LeBeouf wants to see it. Regardless, Megan insisted that the blossoming romance between Sam and Mikaela is only one of the many plotlines Bay will be juggling for the June 2009 flick. But according to the actress, some last-minute scrambling has been taking place to make sure their romance can hold its own among all those Autobot vs. Decepticon showdowns. “You know, we’ve been having script meetings, and we’ve been reworking the script, because they wrote it fast because of the writer’s strike,” she explained. “And, we’ve just been going through and trying to do some character stuff for Shia and myself in the middle of this crazy world that they’re in.” “I can tell you that we’re on locations in some really exotic places,” she added. “It’s just going to be a badass movie. It’s just going to be a popcorn-visual-spectacle, summer film.” As for Michael Bay’s main directorial input to his lead actress, Megan had this to say: “His main note to me is just to look hot; so I try my best.”
Great story about what happened with Jonah Hill and TF2. http://www.iesb.net/index.php?option=com_ezine&task=read&page=1&category=1&article=5069
at least devastator is a combination of the constructicons...i guess it doesnt matter that the tank was named that in the first movie. the fallen character looks bad but i guess its whole "alien" type look especially if it did not take a form of a earth vehicle. i thought in a whole the autobots looked a lot better in robot form than the decepticons did...starscream probably looked the worst in robot form

Can't wait for this one. Grew up with watching the transformers as well and I'll be seeing this one too. Plus it's got Shia Lebouf in it, enough said!
They really should get Harrison Ford to decode the symbols on the temples though, that would be highly amusing
Looks like Bay will not make a third movie. Not surprised though, considering he's spent probably half the decade making these films, from concept to screen. Although I do find it funny that he wants nothing to do with explosions. His whole career has been about making things go boom! http://movies.ign.com/articles/996/996050p1.html
Good. I can't wait until this thing gets rebooted again with actual Transfomers instead of the stupid alien scrap metal Evangelion rip-offs. The whole point of Transformers is the damn robots, and some genius decided to change the entire designs.
Sooooo yeah I won and I'm going to see this today. Will post my review without spoilers later tonight. So psyched
