And Frailty, A Simple Plan, & True Lies. He's also apparently one of the coolest, most down to earth people you'll meet, for whatever that's worth. You hear a lot of people rag on him as an actor, but I've always thought he was pretty good. Probably biased due to seeing Aliens about 200 times as a kid.
Hell yeah. Paxton's characters in Aliens and True Lies were classic. He had some hilarious lines in both flicks....
I actually prefer costner's "wyatt earp", and i'm not a costner fan at all. but I think "wyatt earp" is a fantastic movie.
What's funny is that Pullman is actually a character in Costner's rendition "Wyatt Earp" and is the worst part of THAT film. Anyway, this movie is awesome. It's one of my favorite easily. Recently 790 did a "top guy films" or something and they trashed this movie all over the air for over a week.
I enjoyed it as well. I liked him better as Earp than Russell, but overall Tombstone was more enjoyable. "Wyatt Earp" was almost more like something you'd see on the Biography channel. Thus, me being the history nerd I am, I loved it. I own them both on DVD.
paxton is likable, but certainly isnt a great actor. True Lies... "And she's got the most incredible body too and a pair of t*tties that make you wanna stand up and beg for buttermilk. Ass like a ten year old boy" the 10 year old boy part always bothered me a bit, but it fit the sleezy character perfect Wyatt Earp wasnt too bad of a movie, it was extremely long (from what i remember). It just looks bad compared to Tombstone. doc..."Ed, are we not friends anymore? For if we were not friends, I don't know that I could bear it."
My brothers and uncles and I always use lines from this movie when we're doing things... when we see things, when we see other people do and try things, we imitate the characters: When we see a flambuoyant person walking/talking/doing something: "What kind of town is this?" - Virgil, upon seeing Mr. Fabian get off the carriage "... prettiest man I ever saw..." - Curly Bill Brocious When we see a tall chick walking down the street, we try to do the entire conversation: "I wonder who's that tall drink of water?" - Josephine eyeing Wyatt, asking Fabian "My lady... your eyes gaze upon the quintessential frontier type... eyes closed by the sun though sharp as a hawk... he's got the looks of both predator and prey..." "I want one." "Happy huntings." When we dribble past a defender playing soccer or basketball: "Oh... Johnny... you're no daisy..." - Doc to Ringo by the big oak When someone gets pissed at someone else: "Why Ed... 'we cross?" - Doc to Ed Bailey When someone bleeds for any reason: "Are you gonna do something, or just stand there and bleed?" - Wyatt to Johnny "MadCap" Tyler If someone apologizes to us for some dumb reason: "I ain't easy and I ain't your kid. You take sorry and shove it up your *ss" - Florentino If we get frustrated: "Christ almighty! Like I'm playin' cards with brothers' kids or somethin'..." - MadCap Johnny Tyler at the Faro table If someone challenges one of us, and someone else in our group is better at something like basketball, soccer, etc.: "I'm your huckleberry..." - Doc to Johnny Ringo, when Ringo challenges Earp If someone gets their ear or face dirty or with blood: "Watch your ear, Creek." - Doc to Kentucky Creek Johnson after the street fight If we're in a good mood: "I fell just... capital..." - Curly Bill Brocious before shooting Marshal Fred White If someone is in our chair/seat/etc.: "Nothing... I believe you're sittin' in my chair" - Wyatt to Johnny Tyler Any time we hear about a teacher or a professor or someone teaching someone something: "Professor GILLMAN?!?!? Oh, I've seen him in Bisbee he catches stuff..." - Barnes Generally, any line from that movie can apply to ANY situation in life... ALMOST. If there's a line from Tombstone, we use it... if there was an opportunity to do a line and someone doesn't do it, we "curse them for cowards..." I HAD TO go by Tombstone during last year's vacation with my girls... if I didn't visit... well, I just... didnt' think I could bear it...here are some photos of the original town (not the movie) in Arizona: shot with FinePix S5100 DonkeyMagic: "Please don't kill me... nooo waa-haaa-haaa... ha... HEY! It's YOU! Hey... you still want that 'vette at all!?!?" Overall, Bill Paxton's a second-fiddle in most movies, 'cuz he doesn't do major productions, but True Lies and Tombstone gave him roles he did as well or maybe better than anyone could have.

You guys might not like Paxton's acting, but he was money when he hit that three to win the championship.
