This movie is going to suck major balls. I was looking forward to a more mythical version of The Asgardians(aka LOTR, Clash of the Titans ect.) rather than this stupid marvel cartoony pajamas. So thor is wearing rubbers, spandex and plastics? So will Thor be flying through New York city also?
If it does well, maybe they will do a prequel. And hopefully it will be better than the Wolverine movie.
Hopefully it won't but after Ironman 2, we stayed through the credits and you know they found "the hammer" in NM...anyway, we were walking out of the theater and some guy, was like, "what was that and what does that mean"...This guy, probably around 25-30 didn't know who Thor was...
Did you beat him up with your pocket protector? Most non-fanboys aren't going to pick up on that. It's not like it's spider-man's mask or something. Those little clips at the end of the movies are for geeks.
Meh, so they are actually following this crappy Marvel version taking place in the modern world with a crippled memory loss Donald Blake(Odin's son being punished) finding the Hammer.
Yeah but at least they look authentic. There are artists that knows how to render a piece that make it look real and less plastic looking. Metal should look like metal not plastic. By the way, some of those chainmail for LOTR or not plastic. <object width="480" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/naCRnEWP1B8&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/naCRnEWP1B8&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="480" height="385"></embed></object>
Haha. I had a class with James Casey this semester and the guy is UNBELIEVABLY huge. He has muscles I never knew existed.
The poster is fake? Are we certain Marvel isn't surprising us with a Veggietales quality CGI Thor movie next month?
I think they should have approached Thor like Cap - start things off in the past (in his case, deep past) and then fold him into Avengers for the modern version. They have/had a chance to do something novel with Thor, giving him a debut movie that isn't a formula superhero piece but more Tolkien/mythic. End it with Odin's banishment of him (how many franchises kick off with a cliffhanger?).
