Iron Man 2 was a meh. Iron Man 3 better not pull a Spiderman 3. I wonder if Favreau not directing the third one is a good thing or not.
I pray to God they don't do Ant man. Geez how ridiculous would that be. IF they do, then I hope is for comedic purposes only and treat him like a red shirt in Star Trek. Have him be a sacrificial lamb early on in the Avengers movie. Other than that, I just don't see how he could ever help the heroes fight against evil.
Robert Kirkman, writer of The Walking Dead, had an Ant-Man comic going a couple of years ago. It was pretty funny- a Shield agent stole the Ant-Man suit. He was a real d-bag womanizer, too. Didn't sell well and got canceled, but I liked it. I wouldn't mind if it was Pym and he could either grow or shrink. Seems more useful that way.
Well, seeing as he is one of the smartest people on earth, as well as a physical powerhouse when he uses his Pym particles to grow instead of shrink, Ant man (Hank Pym) is quite useful. Perhaps more importantly for an Avengers movie franchise, he can introduce Ultron as a villain.
I agree it wasnt a true sequel, i also don't think it's completely independent either. Hulk left off with him on the run in the jungle. Granted, that's a generic lead (him on the run from the military) but it somewhat flows into the incredible hulk.
Funny. I told a friend I'd take Dennings over Portman and she was flabbergasted and asked why. I responded with, shes pale and looks mean. And then started laughing to myself... Magical lady-bits bro.
About the Ant-Man discussion, from what I've heard they are still making an Ant-Man movie, buts its more of a comedy, directed by Edgar Wright (You may know him as the director of Shaun of the Dead and Scott Pilgrim), and its not related the Avengers.
This should be good. I think another genius is not good for the Avengers. Needs more sheer super power awesomeness IMO. But I do enjoy superhero comedies. Maybe Ant Man can form his own little version of Avengers with Hancock and Kick Ass. That would be pure win with epic proportions!
I didn't even know who Kat Dennings was until I googled her after seeing this thread. She has an awesome set of boobies.
This is the first I've heard of a black guy playing Heimdal. I agree they should go with casting the actor the same race as the character was originally written to be and in this case I think race actually matters when we are talking about Norse Gods. Considering the outcry about casting white actors in roles that were written for Asians like in 21 and Miss Saigon I think its only fair that in a role intended to be a Norse God they should've stuck with a guy that looks Norse.
