Chuck Norris is a hypocrite...Delta Force was rated R. Although I don't remember that having bad language, just violent. So if it's PG13 will Crew's shotgun make an appearance? As much as Chuck Norris' "legend" has grown, he really wasn't that much of a movie star imo. He's not a great actor. So I don't get why they have to bow down to his wishes when they got Arnie and Bruce to sign on for more screen time and brought Jean Claude.
Van Damme threw the script from the first movie in the trash because he thought the plot sucked, him being in it could be a good sign.
I just watched the first one and it was surprisingly satisfying. I had previously put it off because of the bad reviews. I'll definately pay for a ticket for this one.

You make a good point. #1 - Most of his films from about 75 - 94 were rated R, especially the Cannon-Golan Globus . #2 - Recently, American pop culture overly lionized him for some reason. I have no idea, though he did have cult following. #3 - He was not necessarily a big action star, like Stallone, Schwarznegger, or Van Damme. Most of his films tended to fall into the B-grade category and were rather forgettable films. If you have watch enough Cannon Films, then you must know that many of them border on ridiculous. THese films can be fun to watch (for someone like me who is into cheesy B-Movies), yet the average person may think its hokey and amateurish. #4 - PG-13 for the Expendables. C'mon, the first film was no-holds barred from what I caught so far. #5 - Chuck Norris is a fantastic martial artist, and was more charismatic than most martial arts actors (and possessed more screen presence). Still compared to most action stars, he's kind of robotic as an actor, along with his movies. Look how much color Jackie Chan, Van Damme, or Stallone had with their characters.
I think the reason is the role of sarcasm on the internet. Walker Texas Ranger is just such a turrrrible program, and his character is so unbeatable in that show, that it's fun to exaggerate the Walker legend.
Must...see...this terrible...movie. I wonder if that was really JCVD doing that spin kick or if a stand in had to do it. JCVD is pretty up there for all the crazy kicks and ****.
Yeah that was a little too much for a trailer I think. When it comes to mindless action Summer popcorn, am I wrong in being more stoked for GI Joe 2 than this?
