    I enjoyed it quite a bit even though the story mines a lot of well worn tropes from classic sci-fi films. There's bits of Blade Runner, Children of Men, A.I. and even a dash of 2001 sprinkled in for good measure.

    The visuals are really impressive across the board and performances are solid but I'll agree they are a bit stiff with the characters being underwritten. Those issues aside I thought it was a solid B+

    My Sons and I loved it. Had a fresh feel to it like the 1st time I saw District 9.

    Saw it over the weekend and while I enjoyed the visuals and it kept me entertained enough, it was nothing special. 6/10
