also without the editing. i bought both on hd-dvd and i like the IME features on identity made it funner to watch. supremacy doesnt have any one thing i didnt get is how they put supremacy on hd well before identity
Would assume that they probably had to remaster Identity first as it's a slightly older movie while Supremacy's negative was ready to be transfered to HD disk as is
I just rented the Identity from the local library and have Supremacy on hold for me.. the DVD for Identity has an alternate beginning and ending, and I never saw Supremacy... I'm excited to see what Greengrass does with 2 and 3
It was alright. Entertaining but pretty forgettable. I can appreciate what they were doing with the shaky camera, but it did get fatiguing. And, a lot of the movie is pretty far-fetched and incredible, but I suppose that comes with the territory.
I thought this movie was awesome. Best of the 3 for sure. Only complaint is a little too much shaky camera....I actually like it, just not in that excess. otherwise, wow, fantastic movie. way way way way better than any Bond movie of the last 20 years.
I'm in the large minority I guess.. I thought this one was ok. And I was a HUGE fan of the series...especially the 1st one. Just a little too far-fetched all the time for me.. you can believe certain things, and I'm usually one to say "You have to realize it's a movie." But somehow, just a little too much for me. Also, is there such a thing as too much action? So many chases, fights, etc.. more than necessary i thought.
The shakey camera! I got sick in the movie and i could not understand why now I realize that it is shakey camera Rocket River
saw it last night. Good movie. Fighting scenes are hard to really digest b/c of the camera work, but the public chase and evasion scenes benefited from that camera tecnique. spoiler: The 'asset' getting a conscience at the end was a little bothering. but oh well.
just saw it holy crap Spoiler the fight scene in the bathroom was sick, and the chase scene from the parking garage to the bridge was freaking intense
Great movie. I loved how the movie picked up right after the second to last scene in Supremacy then "caught up" to the very last scene of Supremacy by the end of the film. I'm not a big fan of how Greengrass uses the shaky cam...specifically in the hand-held fights, but it was easier to take than the second film I suppose. Thought Scott Glen was perfect for his part, however little of one it was...in fact all the characters were cast perfectly. I would have liked to know more about Nickie's and Bourne's relationship. And I was waiting for that window jump the whole movie....an amazing shot.
As of right now this is the last movie in the series. Kind of wraps his story line up. But, Damon has said the same thing, you just never know
I'm not a huge fan of the shaky camera either, it seems like the director uses it way too much. And the fact that every conversation was shot from an over the shoulder perspective was also kind of annoying. Using those things every now and then are great, but it seems like it's too much of a crutch for the director, like he can't come up with any other way to shoot stuff. But overall the movie was damn good.
Anybody ever noticed Jason Bourne sounds like X-Men Wolverine's story? Just thought of this when I saw it, great movie btw.
There are hardly any wideshots (besides action sequences) in this movie and for a good reason. This is a very intense story from the get go and has very little room to breathe. Even the conversations are very intense. I thought this was one of Paul Greengrass' best work.
