Anti-Spoiler: (um, if that's such a thing) Last week I saw a press screening. Relax. KC's comment has no basis in reality. For what it's worth, I thought it mediocre, at best, and nowhere near as funny as Anchorman, Elf, or Old School. Didn't have the same of irony.
Spoiler What bothered me the most was the graphic nature of Ricky Bobby's death -- did I really need to see his bloody spine?
it was because of the aliens. you should have got that part. i couldn't believe he was actually dead that whole time!
The ending was pretty graphic. The worst part was when they were trying to revive him with ass-to-mouth instead of mouth-to-mouth. This is the first movie I’ve walked out of in 30 ****ing years!
I suggest not seeing A Scanner Darkly then but I will say that My Super Ex-Girlfriend, which I switched to, was OK. Got my money's worth.
This movie has Jack McBrayer in it, as a character who doesn't have a huge part, but has a fair amount of lines. The guy is one of the funniest human beings on the planet. Some of his stuff in the film was kind of funny, but not all that great. But I would advise anyone who sees it, to take note of Jack McBrayer. I know that he does some work on 30 Rock. I'm not sure what exactly his part will look like in the end, but it should be good.
