Khan did cause quite a few things in the long run, he pretty much killed spock when he detonated the genesis weapon and created the genesis planet which led to the destruction of the original enterprise and Kirk's son's death. In smaller terms he also got Kirk demoted back to captain. All in directly but still, impressive.

I've been watch the bluray collection so all this crap is way too fresh in my mind......

Nero, no offense, but I finally just saw this movie, and without having read this thread at all, I was about to come on here (after reading) and complain about the villain as the weak link.

First off, why did they cast that Stanford Blatch guy from Sex in the City?

Like, how terrifying can this guy be, even if you make him up like he's in a Rob Zombie video, and make up his stage like it's Michael Jackson's next big screen MTV masterpiece.

Then, you put him in a flying hairball that travels through time. "Oh no! I thought I already cleaned the drain, but look at this thing -- it's back and bigger than ever!"

Overall, it got a ton of things right, but the villain was not one of them.
