so this movie is actually like a documentary...child actors don't deserve anything...their parents are trippin..
Dude, the child actors are what made the film. Their acting was great, but I don't know about Oscar worthy.
yeah i dont remember the last time children in a movie did such a good job. those kids need to be put in a better situation from the money they made those people.
We get it, you're indian and you liked slumdog millionaire. Now, stop posting 9872453672439 times in every thread.
I thought the movie was good, but I dont know about Oscar worthy. The director did an amazing job depicting the slums of Mumbai, and the music was amazing. The adult actors were so-so, but the child actors did do a good job. Looks like those child actors will be attending the Oscars Sunday night. http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20090220/ap_on_re_as/as_india_slumdog_kids
I made it about 30 minutes in before I had to turn it off. That is the most I've seen of any of the best picture nominees (despite having had four of the five on DVD for at least a couple of months).
Way to announce that you are a willing part to either a) piracy or an accomplice to illegal distribution b) poor work ethic and fulfillment of your duties. I am willing to bet its A because had you been a member of either the Golden Globe committee or the Academy you would have had all five movies in your possession and not just 4 of the 5. Now saying you just have 4 of the 5. SO you either downloaded these movies ILLEGALLY or you were allowed to borrow these movies from someone in the Academy/GG committees who then broke the rules of their membership. If this gets out both you and your possible friend can be in serious trouble for this violation. If by chance you are the member why only 4 of the 5? How come you didnt watch all the movies fully yet? It is your obligation and duty as a member of the academy/GG to do so otherwise you would have many uninformed votes being cast for actors/staff/movies that could be very well undeserved. I shudder at your obvious lack of moral fiber in either situation. Shame on You!
I'm a full member of the Writers Guild of America, west. We get screeners every year, and I usually don't make it through all of them. And some movies that end up as Academy Award nominees, we never get as screeners (which was the case with The Reader this year.... and it wasn't nominated for a WGA award, probably because of that).
BTW, the screeners we got this year were: The Dark Knight Tropic Thunder Changling Frost/Nixon Slumdog Millionaire Milk The Curious Case of Benjamin Button The Wrestler The Visitor Burn After Reading Doubt Defiance Revolutionary Road
