I saw it yesterday and really liked it. Don't know if it deserved "best picture," but it was a superb film. I spent several weeks in India, several years ago, mostly in Bangalore before it was Bangalore, but saw much of the rest of India. I loved it, warts and all. The dichotomy portrayed between the people in the slums and the well-to-do is real. I could talk a lot about it, but I'll spare everyone. Let's just say that the poor in this country would be considered rich by a few hundred million Indians. Thank goodness for India, that is changing.
sorry for the bump, but I saw it last night. one question, how did he get on the show? I must have gone brain dead.
you could call in to be a contestant, at the call center he worked at one of the workers there worked on the timing/programming of the calls and so he knew when exactly to call in so his phone call would get through. i picked this up on tuesday as well havent gotten around to watching it again though
