[Movie] Sinners - Ryan Coogler & Michael B. Jordan

Making a sequel to this movie would be a tragic mistake.

I never ever buy any food or drink at a movie theatre, which sometimes causes friction when going to movies with others who grew up with a different culture.

I don't think that's so, but I also don't care at all.

As a vampire movie, whatever you want. As a commentary on race in America, it's like making Driving Miss Daisy 2.

 

saw it last night; loved mbj's roles in the movie, preacher boy, and rennick also stole the show. The musical scene where they got in the future and the past was fantastic in it but:

-there are a lot of p eating references and p references overall to where it felt unnatural in the movie. Do we really need Hailee's character to be saying that?
-I get that vampires are supposed to be the allegory to racism in this movie but it felt super forced and out of place
-of course the vampire was an irish man who happened to shoehorn that his land got taken from christians
-the third act where the bad guys come back and get defeated pretty easily felt weird too
-MBJ hugging his wife and then having turn into heavy petting and sex was so forced too

 

Cinematically, great. Musically, great. Movie as a whole, meh.

I'm fine with it as a singular work. But if they decided to do a sequel, focusing on the Choctaw vampire hunters in that world would be cool.

Even what led up to the events of the movie, their history with vampires and afterwards etc.

 

i think popcorn and coke should automatically be included with the movie tix. it's blasphemous to watch movie empty handed.

 

There's a Specs next to my theatre. 1 flask, 1 coke, 1 popcorn

 

Hell yea, I would gladly pay an extra $10 bucks for my ticket if this was included..........................win win, they make more money, and I don't spend $20 bucks in jacked up costs for something that costs about a dollar

 

I think more people wanted the expansion of the universe at worse
either
1. The Natives Americans versus the Vampires - What is their history
2. The Twins in Chicago stories
3. The Twins leaving the south story

Those type of things
