Universal Pictures and Dreamworks Animation have released the official first trailer for “Shrek 5” – the clip coming a full year ahead of the film’s release next Summer. Story details still remain under wraps. In the trailer, Shrek (Mike Myers), Fiona (Cameron Diaz) and Donkey (Eddie Murphy) head to the city of Further Further Away and find themselves imprisoned. The trailer release follows a 30-second teaser released last year, teasing the casting on the project. The fourth film saw Fiona (Cameron Diaz) give birth to triplets. In the new film, Zendaya is set to voice their daughter Felicia, Skyler Gisondo voicing Farkle and Marcello Hernandez voicing Fergus. The new project is directed by Walt Dohrn and Conrad Vernon along with co-director Brad Ableson. “Shrek 5” is scheduled to hit cinemas on June 30th 2027 and will mark the first “Shrek” film in sixteen years. https://www.darkhorizons.com/first-trailer-shrek-5/
