I was not really into it. I was a big fan of the first 3 but for some reason this didn't sit well with me. Maybe I'm showing my age.
Really enjoyed the movie, if u liked the first 3 u should like this one. Probally the funniest one of the series.
I felt the same way during the movie. I was a fan of the first three, and I thought this one would deliver the things we liked about the originals with a little more flare. Instead, it tries to relate to the audience as if we live in some age where Facebook, and Twitter are the center of everyone's lives. It wasn't the more cheesier lines than usual, or the fact that Spoiler I called one killer as soon as he appeared on the screen. With the first three, the story tied in when the killers were revealed. It felt like this movie was targeted at the younger, Jersey Shore viewers. They tried too hard, and it wasn't clever. I want to say it's because we are getting too old for movies, but just turn on Terminator 2, and then try to watch Terminator 3, and 4. I bet you will turn off three and four, but continue to watch Terminator 2. Damn rookie.
Did you guys re-watch the three films before going to watching Scream 4? I remember being a fan of these movies when I was much younger but I recently sat down and watched the marathon on on TBS and Scream 3 on demand and realized these films aren't as good as I remember.
I guess u didn't catch the part where the movie revolves around a cast of high schoolers...that facebook and twitter thing has made billions of dollars because, u guessed it, teens and Tweens place every idea and action they do on it. you probally aren't this movies demographic anymore bud.
Use the Spoiler [/spoiler tag ] Everyone who was a fan of the original series is not part of the demographic anymore? The cast has always revolved around high schoolers, college students and the main characters. Are you suggesting all movies need to implement Twitter and Facebook in some scenes to be a success? Including the R rated suspense thriller? It's not the acting, directing, or the funding. It's the writing. The story couldn't keep the audience interested. It's been a problem for many movies since the writer's strike. In a mystery flick there should be a good story, the ending should be original (this part requires work), and I don't want to guess the suspect the moment Spoiler he appears on screen.
To me, 4 seemed kind of lazily done. It seemed they combined elements of the second and third films to make number 4, at least when dealing with the antagonists of the film. The first three all had differing reasons of why the events took place while this one seemed to recycle from past events.
