Man 1: "Probably he means no HARM." Man 2: "He's really, really short on...CHARM!" Man 1: "You've a great gift for rhyme."
"It was on Duke where Phil Collins' presence became more apparent. I think Invisible Touch was the group's undisputed masterpiece. It's an epic meditation on intangibility. At the same time, it deepens and enriches the meaning of the preceding three albums. Christy, take off your robe."
Over The Edge. Best teen angst movie EVER. Great soundtrack, too. -Roxanne, I have what doctors call "very active glands." You're the first person I've told, my folks don't even know. -Well, maybe you can have surgery without them knowing. -Awww, heck with surgery! Let's wrestle!
I'm gonna git you sucka and Stripes I knew cold. The American Psycho I guessed because I remember the Phil Collins fixation but I googled it anyway to make sure. You might have to try IMDB and google first to see if the quote pops up on the first page. If it doesn't, then ask it here.
Man, I figured I had stumped the board with that one. And I agree, Over the Edge is required viewing with all the guns and Cheap Trick tunes.
"We're gonna spend half the night driving around the Hills looking for one party and then leaving 'cause it sucks, then we're gonna look for this other party you heard about. But, Trent, all the parties and bars, they all suck. I spend half the night trying to talk to some girl whose eyes are darting around to see if there's someone more important she should be talking to. And it's like I'm supposed to be happy 'cause she's wearing a backpack? Half of them are nasty skanks who wouldn't be **** if they weren't surrounded by a bunch of drunken horny assholes. I'm not gonna be one of those assholes."
"Are you telling me.. that I put an abnormal brain into the body of a seven-and-a-half foot long, fifty-four inch wide.. GORILLA?!?!"
Swingers. That quote pretty much sums up my dating days. Always loved it. What's the fun of googling it? I think there are enough movie buffs here where we really don't have to. No way, man. I remember that was one of the first movies I saw when I was a kid on this brand new invention called cable TV. I've always loved that movie. Have you seen the DVD? Some interesting commentary by the director.
I also initially saw it on HBO back in the early eighties. I also did get the DVD off of Netflix - my wife had never seen it. The commentary was very cool.
Young Frankenstein Meatballs! (ya had me goin' on that one for a while.. I remembered Bill Murray saying the line, but it took me a while to remember it. Nobody guessed my previous one.
