I thought the movie was good, but it wasn't scary to me. It was better than Blair Witch, which I thought sucked worse than Children of the Corn.
Just saw it and thought it was really good...I thought it would be very similar to Blair Witch(not a good thing) but this bad boy was CREEPY. I agree with those who said it wasn't scary but man was it disturbing. I will say the ending was way to Hollywood compared to the whole movie, would have prefered the original ending rather then what they changed it to. Overall 7.5/10...original ending 8/10
I watched it last night...not a good idea. It makes you to think what's really going on at night when you're asleep... I'd be freaked out if I woke up to my dude standing & staring at me. Anyways, it's reported that paranormal activity 2 is in the works.
Spoiler Just watched it for the first time. Overall, I enjoyed it. I like the whole 'found footage' format that I find to be a nice break from the usual Hollywood style horror flick. It seems to give a real vibe of authenticity even though you know the story is obviously fiction. But anyway, it was more creepy and tense then it was flat-out scary. The whole scene with the ouija board and the fire was probably the part that freaked me out the most. That or how the girl was seemingly possessed and would stand there and stare at the bed for hours at a time without remembering the next day. By the end of the movie you kind of expected a big flashy ending like how it finished so there was really no surprise there. Although, I couldn't help but to tie my demon themed movies together whenever I saw the footprints and bite marks on her back -- I thought back to The Omen and how supposedly the devil was a jackal or however the story went.
