Although I did not grow up in that generation, I have seen my fair share of horror films from the 70's/80's when I was younger, which I enjoyed. I thought this movie was awesome considering that there hasn't been any good horror films that I have enjoyed in the last decade and a half or so.
Eight of us went to see this movie and we all agreed that this movie is terrible and over hyped. Few people were laughing & yelling to make fun during the show. - You don't open the bed room door when you sleep - If you hear something, first thing you'd do is turn the damn light on - The professor that came to help acted kinda cheesy.
How does something invisible make a shadow? I actually thought the professor was the best actor of the movie.
[QUOTE.... I actually thought the professor was the best actor of the movie.[/QUOTE] I can sense some sarcastic here I meant cheesy sense not his act
I just saw this movie and then saw the one that came out during the film festival in 2007 and thought the hollywoodless effect at the end was much better. Overall a good movie, has some scary scenes but not as scary as I excepted.
Why on earth would anyone think this is scary? You do realize that it ISN'T real lol. The blair witch actually had people going for a while.
Ths is how it really ended in case you haven't seen. Spoiler <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/uOQwqkkAVGQ&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/uOQwqkkAVGQ&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
yeah... i can see why spielberg changed it... i think the ending should be she comes up the stairs.. sits on the bed (in the catatonic state).. fade to black.
I'm about to watch it online. I'll give out the link if anyone wants it. Its actually DVD clear. I think its the sundance version one.
Don't think this movie will translate well to DVD or homeviewing unless you have a killer sounds system. Half the fun for me was watching some of the reactions of the audience that were watching it.
Replied Anyways, for any of other people that wants the link for this movie and other movies still out in theaters here the link http://mocero.com/ Most of the movies there are from camcorders, but Paranormal activity is from the dvd they released a couple years ago. So its pretty clear. I'll tell ya'll the truth, I watched 5 mins of it, but Xed cause I got scared.
