Definitely heart-pounding... Great movie. People were definitely shook with fear as they walked out of the theater. Spoiler Was a little disappointed with the ending. I heard they are showing an alternate ending to the original that was shown at festivals.
Spoiler are there any movies thats scarier than this but not as scary as them japanese creepy movies? because this movie did nothing for me...... micah's behavior was not believable at all, as an atheist, if these events did begin to unfold... especially with the footsteps and semi-burnt picture in the attic above the bed, i'd be a little creeped out... the leg dragging was freaking awesome...... i want to see what transpired on the ground floor during the last exchange..... maybe 7/10
I just saw the movie and thought it was garbage. It might have been scary had it been the first thriller I had ever seen in my life I guess. I really got hyped up reading about it various places. I commend them for making a movie that cost virtually nothing to make, but it was lame. And to answer your last question: what happened was to save money they had that happen off camera, thus not having to do any special effects. Spoiler So I gather the demon took over her body in the last scene? Why didn't the demon just beat him to death in the bed? He was already insider her I assume when she stood and stared at him for 2 hours, right?
Yeah, thats what I thought so too, I thought she was going to shank him or something. The one thing that I thought throughout the movie was, since they were being haunted by a demon, why not be a little more religious? I saw no bibles or crosses in the movie at all, just the one crucifix that the girl was holding when she was sitting on the ground. The funniest scene in the movie was when the psychic guy came, and left like 10 seconds later cause he was scared, I laughed so hard during that scene. Overall, I thought that the movie was great, one of the best horror flicks I've seen in a LONG time.
To each is own, I guess... Spoiler The more I think about it the more absurd this movie gets. This demon has been following her since she was a little kid? Why? Was he just toying with her for a decade or two? And don't you think she would have been in a mental hospital by now? Again, for the little money that was used to make it I guess I have to give it some slack.
I thought that too, but in the beginning the psychic said that the demon could hibernate for a long period of time, then come back and resume the haunt whenever it wants. =/ And if you think about it, her boyfriend kept on provoking it also. Alot of nice David Blaine magic tricks in this movie imo.

saw the movie on friday...i thought it was decent, and i thought it was scarier than the "scary" movies i've seen in the last few years i also avoided all trailers and any hype leading up to it. someone just said "let's see this movie" and i went. i'm guessing that helped..
Saw it yesterday and it's a solid horror movie, not a great one but it's respectible. Like the Blair Witch Project there will be loads of people who are left dissapointed because of the hype. Think it's a solid B movie. It's a fun little fright fest with and I'm a sucker for movies made on the cheap with a great story about how they got made and sent to the screen.
Did anyone who saw it today notice that at the end it said his body was found on october 1th???? thats today that freaked the **** outta me...
