Its funny because that was kinda the start of New Line Cinema. At first all they had were the nightmare and house party flicks, now theyre kinda bigtime.
If anyone is interested I have several copies of the original on DVD that are brand new in the unopened retail package. Several copies of "It's The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" as well. I'll do a 2-fer if ya' want. Email me through the board. And FWIW, this one looks pretty scary too... but the original is still pretty creepy.
Saw the trailer last nite and I really hope they don't just do a shot for shot remake ala Van Sants Psycho, and from what's in the trailer is straight from the original film. I have no issue with remakes but at least make it a different, unless your Rob Zombie, in that case please never make another movie.
I can't remember but in the original film did they show Freddy before he was burned to a crisp? I remember the mother from the original telling her daughter the origins of Freddy and who he was and all that but I don't remember them showing the parents killing him. From what I gathered from the trailer when I watched, it looked like they would include more of the backstory on how Freddy became what he is although trailers can be deceiving.
I don't remember if that was in the first one but I know it was in one of the later sequels. The feel I'm getting from the trailer is they are going to do like they did in the recent Friday the 13th remake and condense a lot of stuff from the sequels into one film with the original as the main part.
Well the film crew has said in the past that they were not going to do it like that. They said it's going to be more reimaging and less cherry picking.
I know I'd read the same thing but there it is in the trailer. The glove coming out of the bath and that chicks death in the bed room, might be more not sure.
Second trailer is out! WoW looks pretty GOOD <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/luFkSVJmobA&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/luFkSVJmobA&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object>
I was sort of looking forward to this movie, but then i saw this trailer and i found out Michael Bay was involved I think it will be a disapointment.
He has nothing to do with it. He just owns the production company that's funding the movie. He probably never even stepped foot on the set.
There better be some naked chicks like the originals...that blonde chick looks pretty hot, maybe she'll show something. Yes, I'm a pervert
I don't recall any naked chicks in the original. Unless you count the scene where Tina gets her **** ruined in the bedroom as a naked scene.
