How is the Dark Knight a remake? Yes, it has characters from previous incarnation but I don't think it'd qualify as a remake.
What the fudge, did my thread fall off the first page in 4 minutes? That's gotta be a new record for me. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?p=4776538#post4776538
LOL @ all the people who say <whiny>"WTF? It's the same story!"</whiny> but defend The Dark Knight and Batman Begins like it hasn't already been done before... I am in no way defending this one, either, and I think it's trash how movies just add a "2010" or "it begins!" and you think it's a new story, but it's the same crap... even this Krueger movie is... and so was HULK twice... bologna. REALLY? Same scenes? You don't say... Spoiler <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/qCOl9v0b0zM&hl=en&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/qCOl9v0b0zM&hl=en&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> Anyway. I will see this new NOES2010 on DVD, at least, just like I did... The... Bat... Man...
Because no one dares to ignore Soze. I think there is a market for these remakes. I think alot of the teens don't bother to watch the original ones, they want the latest and greatest. It's all about the eye candies and the new audio enhancements. Just like video games, game play wise, the 16bits era were one of the best. How many of the kids nowaday will play those retro games? They want the latest, because it's prettier.
Making it in HD Latest - Hot Chick/Guy Honestly they cannot make it any better than the original Only thing that can be enhanced is HD . . maybe the sound Even with that. . . I suspect it will be subpar Rocket River
Oh come on. It's certainly not the best angle, but you're exaggerating. If you still need a better idea of what his face is going to look like, I offer you this. Spoiler
oh that's right...there were explosions and the bat signal in both movies. also a female. yeah, now that I think of it they were identical. swoly if you honestly thought Dark Knight was a remake of Batman then you didn't see one or both of those movies. yes, the batman imagery has been used IN EVERY BATMAN MOVIE OR TV SHOW EVER. the Joker carries a card...yeah, no crap. there are explosions. there are cops. there's a love interest. but the story told in Dark Knight was entirely different from the story told in Batman.
Freddy used to scare the **** out of me when I was a kid. And yeah, kinda lame that it's apparently a shot-for-shot remake like Psycho. I was hoping for an actual new version. And WTF at 'The Dark Knight is a remake'?!? 'I don't think that word means what you think it means'.
The face at the end looks horrible, not as in horrible because it's burnt but because he looks completely r****ded. I prefer this one.
Still not a good idea of what his face is gonna look like. It looks like it could be Michael Jackson.
Wes Craven directed NOES. Carpenter did Halloween but they butchered that franchise too with remakes.
Looks like there going for the more "realistic" burned face look rather then the plastic look that the original provided also looks to be more of a serious tone rather then the horrow humor the last few had minus new nightmare. Dark Knight was not a remake of Batman just happened to have the same main villian but nothing about it was similar, nothing and the video montage was stretching it BIGTIME.
I hope the kids enjoy it, that's who these movies are for. I remember sitting in a packed Cullen Performance Hall at U of H for a free screening of "I Know What You Did Last Summer," 1,500 twenty-year-olds screaming their lungs out every-time they saw that coat, probably the best memory I had of college. (Really, really anti-social). Wish I could still enjoy those types of movies in that type of setting, now I'm going to empty cinemas on a Sunday afternoon to watch "Sita Sings the Blues" or "Brothers Bloom."
