Even though there was alot of action, i still wanted to see how he got the Rabbit's foot. Oh well, still a strong movie.
holy crap, that was my exact phrase when I described this movie to my friend. Word for word. Damn, shayd, I've never liked your records, but ur taste in women is good.
to be fair, the majority of americans dig movies like Scary Movie 4. Movies like, Thank you for smoking, Capote, brokeback mtn, crash, and pride and prejudice are just the boring, artsy flicks. Results show that the movies I just listed usually do piss poor at the box office. It's disgusting because they keep churning out crap like what will become Scary Movie 23, and the latest of the American pie 4 with effin Stifler's brother.
You saw that piece of sh*T? I told you Natalie wasn't naked again, but you didn't listen. YOU recommended War of the WOrlds, but I think it was to test my Surround Sound, no? I forget.
I enjoyed the movie. Speaking of the love and hate for Cruise. Here's a topic I started last summer about that very subject: http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=98452&highlight=tom+cruise
I agree with you about the Scary Movie deal but to just call artsy stuff boring is a little narrow minded don't you think, that's like calling call classic lit. crap because it doesn't intrest you
Okay, so I guess I should really get around to seeing the original M:I movie with Tom Cruise. I saw the 2nd one the first night it was out and absolutely loved it. It's strange, everyone seems to be calling the second one the weakest of the trilogy, but I think I liked it a little bit more than this new one. Based on my memory of the 2nd, I feel like this one was maybe a better made movie, but the action in M:I: 2 was a lot more fast paced and exciting. This movie had its moments, but still...I go to a movie like this wanting some kick ass action and a story that makes me care just enough to really get into things. This movie was actually a little too heavy on the back story. I guess a change of pace was needed for the franchise not to be stale...but, eh... Also, I thought Hoffman was pretty good as the bad guy, but I just hate it when you have these fat, out of shape slobs as the #1 evil guy in action movies. A big guy that's in shape would have no problem kicking his ass any time, anywhere. Hoffman had to rely on all his cronies to be able to have any sort of power.
yea i know she was bORn in hawaii, but she is primarly a Hong Kong actress, they dubb her voice. Her boyfriend is Jacke Chan's godson, so he gets alot of big roles.
me likey... I like the tat...very sexy..I thought I read it didn't do what they expected this past weekend...I will wait for the DVD...
Just saw it. It was okay. Not as good as the first, but better than the second. If you go in expecting little more than fast paced action, I doubt you'll be dissappointed. But it's funny to see anyone give props to the acting. Other than Cruise, no one had enough face-time to display any real acting.
I finally saw this movie and I have to say... this movie rocked, IMO. Been a long time since I've seen an action movie like this one. Reminded me of the 1st James Bond.
