I'm not a fan of the vague movie trailers. It's about an alien invasion, and for some reason it's called Nope. That's all I know. I bet the twist is that it's actually ET coming back to his real home. He lands, after terrifying these people, gets off the craft and just says, "Nope." And the movie ends.
It looks interesting but I think he might be trying too hard to be clever. I need to actually watch US to get an idea of what he is as a filmmaker. I think Get Out might be a tad overrated, great movie but the premise was greater than the working parts IMO.
I have liked his film but haven't loved either one. This whole master of horror title that's been bestowed upon him is confusing to me because I haven't found either film scary, they are more like solid Twilight Zone episode than outright horror films. This one looks similar in tone to his first two films so I hope it's entertaining but fairly light in the scares department....
Yea... does give away the plot but I'll still probably check it out. Wished the final trailer was more mysterious.
Keep seeing the trailers for this. I kinda really want to see it. I think there might be something more to the movie than what the final trailer shows. Why give away everything? I'll watch just on the premise that there might be a very clever plot twist that no one saw coming. But it also looks pretty good.
The fact that they've actually shown the flying saucer in the marketing makes me think were in for some twist/mindf*ck
I love Peele, but man I am afraid he's on his path to becoming M Night Shamalamadingdong. Get Out was phenomenal, but Us was not that good. Feels like the drop off between Sixth Sense and Unbreakable. This would be his Signs (funny they're both about Aliens).
I agree! I'm not going to lie, despite me liking the cast, this looks kind of dumb. Also the title "nope" feels dumb to me too. Get Out has skyrocketed Peele into the stratosphere and everything after that has been not great, including Candy Man which I think he was a producer on. I also hate that Peele has ushered in this new era of blk cinema and its all horror, It feels like another way to mask black suffering. but that's just me. don't roll your eyes when you read that, lol
