I beat you by few min!!, but your answer is much more detailed (a lot better etc.), I honestly thought the 40 was disclosed, but let's say it was higher, they're definitely making money regardless, I mean these don't include streaming rentals/blu sales etc . I don't buy Blu Ray movies usually, but for this series I have.
I have to admit: at no point in enjoying JW 1 and JW 2 did I think to myself or say out loud, "what this franchise really needs is... Halle Berry."
Seriously! I know the female action movie characters are thin but they probably still exist. The girl who played Electra on the Defenders comes to mind. She looks well trained and is a pretty good actress
Yeah, from what I understand generally you can double the budgets that are reported on for production because they don't include advertising. Plus the studios get a much smaller fraction of overseas box office. But if $40 mil is the production budget then you are right, they definitely are making money.
Haven't seen the 2nd one yet, but here's the director's initial description of Chapter 3: ...this time the maelstrom around Wick will include “horses, dogs, cats, a raven, a bunch of pigeons, a motorcycle chase, car chase, Halle Berry, Laurence Fishburne, Ian McShane, Lance Reddick, shotguns and ninjas.” And if that doesn’t sound like the greatest thing in the world to you, there’s nothing more that can be done. https://www.empireonline.com/movies...lum-exclusive-image-keanu-reeves-horse-stunt/
Love it. Love the cheesy, late 90's early 00's over-the-top hyper stylistic eurocentric imagery and prose.
Yee. These movies on initial watch are fantastic and exciting. The re-watchability on the other hand, not so much. Cant wait
