what the hell is that? i hope this isn't crap like cloverfield. my expectations went way low for jj abrams because of that movie.
I hope it IS a prequel to Cloverfield. Hype aside, I thought it was a great monster movie. Just FYI: JJ produced Cloverfield, he didn't direct it.
Ditto, I've always enjoyed Cloverfield as a movie. I hope it's a prequel as well but they are saying it's not, for now.
Cloverfield gets a bad rap. It was definitely a different movie....a brave one to make, really, precisely because it was so different. Realize it for what it is and maybe give it another shot: an attempt to tell a story where no one knows exactly what happened and the only thing they have to go by is this camcorder found at one of the scenes. That's all there is to it, really.
I can't wait for someone to make an alien flick about the "Grey" alien types that are the most prevalent in all the UFO/Abduction reports. The superpowered monster tough alien story is getting pretty old.
you mean like these.... http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0097100/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0106912/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1220198/ http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075860/
I liked Cloverfield, thought it was one of the better handheld camara movies that seemed to have popped up everywhere during that period. I would have liked a prequal or even a sequal but I understand why they left it there.
Why do Americans need everything explained and warped up nicely in a cute little bow? Cloverfield was all sorts of win.
If it doesn't have a lead lined refridgerator that allows the protagonist to withstand an atomic blast that has nothing to do with the plot of the movie, I will demand a refund. Senor Spielbergo?
