Have you seen how they created the realism of the CGI? I think it's awesome how the actors acted it all out, not just strictly drawn. Part1...click for part2... <object width="560" height="340"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/yX_Rez75zzo&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/yX_Rez75zzo&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="560" height="340"></embed></object> ^^^ Terrible quality. If you have HBO on demand, check it out on there.
Check out the insanity on the latest promo spot for this movie!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0OCCuqcyGg sorry embed disabled
Sorry to be "that guy." But does anyone else think the CGI looks kind of cheesy? Based on the comments, I feel like I must be the only one. I'm sure it could still be a great movie, but every trailer I've seen the first thing that keeps popping into my mind as I'm watching is how much it looks like a video game. Maybe after a while you just get used to it.
http://gawker.com/5427160/an-apology-avatar-amazingly-does-not-suck Everyone's been eating crow after watching the movie. Make sure you go see it to make a judgment based on more than a 2 minute trailer!

check out all the reviews from the major critics. They're saying they haven't felt like they did while watching Avatar since Star Wars first came out. Those who doubt it, watch it in IMAX3D at least instead of some regular garbage screen. I for one can't wait! The score by James Horner is not bad as well, here are some tracks all of which can be found on youtube if you are a fan of movie scores(weak quality): <object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/DQEY2kBbnAY&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/DQEY2kBbnAY&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object> <object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/iVqxx0jyrbo&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/iVqxx0jyrbo&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object> <object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/OuJnV4ZJIfk&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/OuJnV4ZJIfk&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object> <object width="320" height="265"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/8aoY9CDxW6Q&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/8aoY9CDxW6Q&hl=en_US&fs=1&color1=0x006699&color2=0x54abd6" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="320" height="265"></embed></object>
favorite review so far: "Avatar is a morally, historically, socially, and politically childish amalgam of Pocahontas and Ferngully."
Everyone knows the plot is basically Dances with Wolves with Smurfs. Now lets see if Cameron actually made something revolutionary.
