if you're asking how he couple make a novel so fast? Cameron has been working on the Avatar universe for 10 years. He is basically the new George Lucas.(in terms of creating a universe)
Bite your tongue. George Lucas hasn't 'created' anything. Anything he ever made that was any good came from collaborations with far more talented people than he could ever hope to be.
Saw Avatar this past weekend and really enjoyed it. My wife, who has no interest in sci-fi type movies, also really enjoyed it. And...the funny thing is that, while I haven't experienced the same PAD (post-Avatar depression) that seems to be prevalent with many movie-goers, I haven't been able to get the movie out of my head. I'm guessing the enormity of the event and such up-close exposure to the 3D technology really left me fascinated. I guess it's a euphoric high from enjoying the movie so much. Just my two cents.
I saw it 3-D Imax and well . . . I think MY expectations were set too high It was good but nothing that made it seem more than any other 3-d Movie Rocket River
This is what happened to me so I decided to watch it again courtesy of this thread.. http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=182591
Well, Avatar just became the first movie ever to gross $700 mil domestic this weekend after pulling in another $14 mil (A less than 15% drop from last weekend). It just passed Titanic's $1.84 billion international cume and it's world wide gross now stands at $2.55 billion. Just keeps chugging along
I have never seen this movie been waiting for it to come out on DVD it finally comes out this Thursday is it worth buying right away or should I rent it first? I am not a huge sci fi movie watcher but enjoy the Star Wars movies. Is it also worth spending the extra 10$ for bluray?
1. yes, IMO it's worth buying. 2. Blue Ray is definitely worth it. If you really must have a DVD the blue ray version comes with DVD free. $24 http://www.walmart.com/ip/14038205
Agree on the Bluray version. I'll be buying it, just not from Walmart! Anyone getting it, though, who hasn't seen Avatar on a good 3D screen is missing something special.
I'd spend the extra bux to get the bluray. The story kinda sucks so the visuals is basically what makes the movie.
The only way to experience this movie is in 3-d theaters... Unless you have like a giant LED flat screen with amazing surround sound system it just won't be the same feeling...
Picking it up this weekend, cheaper at Beast buy than wallymart for those of you interested... $22.99 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Avatar+...32&skuId=9862367&st=Avatar_20100317&lp=1&cp=1
Good question...I'd like to know myself...I was picking it up at BB anyway as I have a $5 coupon/rewards
ya, I got a $5 gift card from Walmart in the mail from them. Figure I'd use it on this. That....and I despise places like gamestop. (which is all we have here in NAC).
