Holy crap that is some of the worst grammar I've ever seen from someone who actually had enough sense to use paragraphs. Most of the points are valid, but a couple of them are explained in the movie. I guess he just missed or misunderstood them (ie. the Bob Marley scene).
I saw it last night and it was ok...just seemed short...like it ended abruptly. Ok, call me stupid...but what the hell was the iquid stuff that he was pouring out everywhere (outside his house, on his jacket, etc)? What was that for?
You know, I'm not sure. In the book they were vampires, not zombies, so maybe it was supposed to be holy water (although I doubt it, with Neville's disbelief in God). I just asked my girl and she thought it might be vinegar or alcohol so the monsters would lose his scent. Anybody got more ideas?
Yeah it semt to end too short, and the CGI on the monsters was horrible, they should've just used real actors..not scary at all just looked like a cartoon.
I think the stuff he poured was bleach or alcohol to throw off his scent. I thought it was a good movie. Didn't read the book though. The ending seemed like it was hurt by the writer's strike...
I'm sure the movie was finished shooting by the time the writer's strike came about, and the script would have been done loooong before then. Sadly, that ending can't be blamed on the writer's strike at all.
no but I would at least have built a super panic room made of fortified steel etc. so those monsters can't penetrate it like they destroyed the house.
It was nothing special. Didn't make me go out and talk about it with friends or anything. Was worth the $3.95 I paid for the movie ticket, but nothing more.
Ok, was I the only one hoping/praying that he would not try to get it on with one of those girl dolls?
So the virus makes the zombies super athletic? They were running like Adrian Peterson and free climbing up the side of buildings. Clemens wants to be infected, like right now.
True...but I don't think he would have been able to do that himself...and as has been said, he couldn't have moved his lab. So he made do with what he had and built the shutters, which I'm sure could have kept out random monsters....he probably didn't anticipate an organized attack though, since there was no reason before the events in the films to suggest they were smart enough to do that.
This is my take on who I thought set up the trap. Spoiler I think it was the darkseekers that set up the trap. The Alpha Male saw Will Smith trap the Alpha Female so he was smart enough to copy the same exact trap. If Will Smith was to set up the trap, he would have used a blanket too like he did the Alpha Female because his intentions were to save them not to kill them. Will Smith went to the same places everyday, taking the same routes. When he saw Fred just standing at the end of the road, he freaked out because Fred was suppose to be at the DVD store. Is it just me or did Fred moved his head a little bit when Will stopped the car? I know Will was losing it a bit but he was not crazy enough to forget that he set up his own trap. I think he would have remembered that he moved Fred around the city since the day before he saw Fred at the DVD store. Thats why he went crazy and was asking Fred if he was alive. After that he figured out that it was the darkseekers that set the trap up because he starts to look around and starts to shoot at the buildings because he knew they were watching him. Will was dumb to go up close to Fred after he shot him because he should have known it was a trap. Then bam, the same trap happens but it happens to Will instead. The Alpha Male is focused a lot during the movie. They want us to know that he is the smartest one because the way he moans and how the other darkseekers react to it. The darkseekers sleep during the day so all they had to do was smell Wills blood dripping from his head to know that the trap worked. Thats is how I think the trap was set up and that is how Sam died.
Some sites are reporting that they did some reshooting in November, most notably the ending. The zombpires didn't look like a lot of time was put into it either.
