Trailer does look great. Better than the book which was solid but not spectacular, especially the first half - not sure it was necessary to split; first half of last book fairly ho hum IMO.
Just re-read it a few weeks ago. I got the first book in my late elementary school years right when it came out so this series was very much apart of my childhood. It's sad to see it end but I cant wait for these movies. And I really want to go to the theme park.
Can't wait. Love the movies because I just happened to watch it with my daughters and got hooked. Hard to believe this 10 year movie series is coming to an end...
Ahh I forgot that's what happened. And the whole time I was watching that trailer, I was hoping they'd show where all the stuff multiplies like crazy.
ive read a couple hundred books in my life... at least. and there is not another book that i would want or be more excited to see made into a movie then the last 200 or so pages from that last book of harry potter. if they do it right (being 2 movies helps with depth) it should be Great.
You dorks... Spoiler And yes...I'm into the movies too. Wife is expecting in late October...and she's trying to figure out how to make it to HP in November.
Well there are 2 reasons I don't read the book. 1, is because looking at how thick it is, it takes away my enthusiasm. 2, because I don't wanna be one of those "man wtf dude, the book was way better and the movie butchered it" kinda person. There's only 1 movie for me that had a better movie than novel, and that's The 13th Warrior (book: eaters of the dead). I think I'll pick up the book after the whole series end. I think this is a bad time to start reading the books, kinda way too late.
It's actually pretty good. I'd venture to say it's the best Jim Carrey movie since Me, Myself, and Irene (did he even come out with a movie in between?). I'd recommend it. Not anywhere as awesome as Potter, Harry tho.

Late response, but 1- if they do the movie well enough, continuity mistakes could be forgiven. Like Tom Bombadil not in LOTR. If however they make up stuff just to make the movie more thrilling then that's grounds for complaining I think (like in DaVinci Code where there was a car chase through Paris while in the book they saw cops, did a 3-point turn, and drove away slowly). 2-if you think the movies are already good then reading the books shouldn't sully your already made opinion on the movies. Of course the movies have been good, but the books are better, unless you're a visually stimulated person who would never enjoy reading. Would I only watch clutch city since it summarizes the season and finals? Or wouldn't I also enjoy watching each game of the finals?
I come away sad after every movie. They do not do the books justice, imo... Get Peter Jackson in here...
