My roomates told me that despite its obvious stupidity in the trailers, it ws an excellent movie. I'm gonna rent it this weekend.

"Quick... Let's get out of here before they kill Guy!"

It is really good. I was afraid it would be just plain corny, with silly gags like the Naked Gun and others. But, it was more like a Saturday Night Live skit, almost serious, but poking fun at the same time. A very refreshing and origional comedy.

I thought it was pretty good too, after going into it without high expectations.

But, don't you guys find that to be a trend, that when you go into a movie with high hopes, they are more often than not dashed, but when you go in either not knowing what's gonna happen or not with high hopes, you're usually pleasantly suprised. Now, I know this is not the case for every movie, but I'd say in my experiences it is a general trend.

I haven't had the chance to watch Galaxy Quest, but it did look good on the previews.

Since we're on the subject, how many of you have seen SpaceBalls? That was an all-time classic!

SpaceBalls was shown about twice a day on the TX Tech movie channel last month. Casino w/ Sharon Stone & DeNiro is pretty good too. Oh yeah, the Matrix was also shown about twice a day, DURING FINALS. Let's just say that some tough decisions were made about what to do during Finals. LOL. I also agree w/ the Cool Runnings thread. That is a great movie.

    Space Balls....oh my

"I see your Scwartz is as bigger than Mine"

"Sir, our radars been Jammed!" "Only one man would dare use Strawberry, Lonestar"

    "Comb the Desert!"

Speaking of movies youd think would be stinkers but pleasantly surprised.

Anyone else find Major Payne hilarious?

I thought this movie was excellent despite its slow start.

The leader of the alien race(the guy that told Tim Allen he was "their last hope")was excellent in this movie. I really like his character the best.

    It was really good!
