I didn't say it was, and I don't usually pay to go see movies like this. I'll catch it on TV a few years down the road perhaps. I saw Terminator Salvation and many of the performances in that flick were laughable, but I do understand the draw of action movies. You eat some popcorn and try to be entertained. I usually prefer the movies I pay money to see to have a strong cast, a capable director, and some semblance of a coherent plot. A movie like Terminator, GI Joe, or whatever the hell latest Comic Book movie is coming out usually has to be very well done for me to even have an interest in seeing it. And I wouldn't go see this movie and expect Channing Tatum to give a Humphrey Bogart performance. Even if his flaws aren't especially noticeable in this film, I just wouldn't want to have to make myself stomach watching him attempt to portray a character.
Why does anybody care what other people think? If there is a movie you want to see then go see it regardless of what other people say or tell you.
What a complete piece of crap. Aside from the horrible acting and CGI, the lack of cohesion in the story and complete lack of any keeping with the history, they completely took "A Real American Hero" out of it. I will never again watch a movie from this horrible director. I know its more popular to have GI JOE be a "UN" type world unit based in Egypt and a Morrocan guy so somebody doesn't get offended. Typical American-hating Euro/UN wannabe crap. They did a great job with Transformers, but this was just absolute garbage. How could they distort the story so much it honestly seems as if the director just used the GI Joe names but never actually read up on the history or what it meant supporting the US GI's or the history of Cobra and that it was a grassroots organization beginning in ex-union towns like Springfield with high unemployment and despair. Horrible, Horrible, Horrible Movie!!!!!!!!!!!
black people should be offended too. Ripcord was only allowed to be a Joe because of affirmative action. Why couldnt his scores be good enough to be top 1/2% and make Duke only pass because his score combined with Ripcords is passing. i need the "that's racist" gif and why the hell are they combining scores anyways?

You know as I was thinking about that scene, I was left wondering....if Ripcord's scores were that low, why on earth would they admit him into the JOEs?! Not exactly the best of the best.
I think they were teasing him a bit with his "scores" during the last scene talking about them. Hawk did give them an official invite request at the end of the film after the trial by fire. I thought the film was pretty enjoyable - nothing deeper than popcorn fun and laughs. Still wondering what the director's fixation is with broken glass though.
Hey guys just saw the movie....yea Im late , I know. Saw it for free....and I want my money back . Movie was horrible EVEN for an action flick. Tatum really really sucks.
Rented it this weekend, and I have to agree that it was awful. Usually if you go into a movie thinking it sucks, it doesn't find a way to still underwhelm you, but this sure did. Worst movie I've watched this year.
