    New trailer dropped. It looks pretty amazing. Love the Pink Floyd in the background. Sand worms look positively epic.

    It looks fantastic. Seeing how neotenous Timothee & Zendaya look. They could've been good as twins for a Children of Dune movie. Skip the first two books so they can move more quickly to a big budget movie featuring an emperor worm. The fourth book actually suits the times the most with its female protagonist.

    Villeneuve knows how to make awesome shots that takes you into the world (good or depressing). Hope he hires a film editor worth its salt and works on pacing.

    Is this meant to be a standalone movie?

    I read about four in the series almost 25 years ago. Don’t remember much at all unfortunately. Great series though. That along with wheel of time and a few others deserve justice done for them film wise.

    I'll give it a chance. Can't say I'm impressed with their casting choice of this Timothee dude. He looks too much like a boy-band lead singer and his acting doesn't seem impressive (although it's just a trailer).

    All other imagery seems okay. I hope they're more successful than their predecessors at bringing the Dune story onto the screen.
