I'd be surprised if he signed away 7+ appearances as Dr. Strange away... but maybe he thinks his career needs it?
I don't think Phoenix takes anything he doesn't want. He's an A-List drama actor. That said, I can't see him in the part.
I think Marvel prefers a good B-Lister I mean if they can get an A then they will take it but . . . . someone who would be kool with 3 movie deal Lian N looks the part Rocket River
If Liam Neeson, gets the part, this movie immediately goes to the top of my "can't wait" list. Nothing stopping Eric Bana just because he already played Bruce Banner. Consider this:
Funny, I recently started playing the free-to-play game Marvel Heroes 2015... there's like 40+ characters, and Dr. Strange turned out to be my favorite one. Anyway, I certainly knew who Strange was, but I don't think I've ever actually read one of the comics. Looks like it could be interesting, though. Put me down as mildly intrigued.
Probably Marvel Studio I think FOX owns all X-Related characters Sony owns all Spiderman-Related characters Rocket River
I'm guessing Marvel Studios, too, as they own Daredevil again after the rights reverted to them. link
If true, I feel like they have another dimension they could look to add (demons) to the universe on top of the superheroes, space, mythology (Thor), magic and whatever the plan is for mutants.
I'd been putting off watching this for the longest because I'm not a big fan of Dr Strange, but I watched it on your suggestion. I agree it's very well done, it's actually one of Marvel's best animated movies. I can only hope that the live action movie is done as awesomely.
Fox owns the Mutant rights. Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch are co-owned and aren't mutants in the upcoming Avengers 2.
They are "miracles"! Maybe Michael Bay (I am only assuming he produced TMNT) can change the title of his latest movie to Teenage Miracle Ninja Turtles.
He did produce TMNT, good guess. Also, I'm pretty certain "miracles" will be changed to inhuman when it's all said and done.* (*After the Inhumans movie is released)
