i rented I Am Legend...of course, there was no disc 2 with an alternate ending...can someone fill me in on what the alternate ending was??
Spoiler The main character lives because he returns that one female zombie he captured earlier to the alpha zombie
sorry, late to the party. a couple of things after watching on video, yes I thought about 9-11 and the director had to be thinking it while making two, I never opened this thread till I saw this movie yesteday, and I knew alot of people would miss the point. the story isn't the monster, the story is the guy going back for the girl. I'm not a Lost freak, I stopped watching after season two so I'm not just defending the guy because i'm a fan or something. Its just the first thing I knew I would see, "where did the monster come from" who gives a flip. that was not the point
Out of curiosity...now that this movie is on DVD, how many people that saw the movie in the theater plan to buy it on DVD? I loved the theater experience, but it isn't a movie I think I would rewatch many times, and I don't plan on buying it on DVD.
Just bought it this weekend myself. There's a lot to like in this movie and I can see myself watching it every now and then...not in heavy rotation though.
well I bought the DVD. But I actually have a 105 inch HD movie projector complete with surround sound and everything so I can kinda get the same experience I had in theaters.
My sister watched this last week and asked me, even though I have never seen, it, what the hell the point of the movie was. I'll be sure to tell her what you said?
i'm pretty sure this doesn't need spoilers, what's happening in the movie is a guy is leaving new york for a job in japan and he finally sleeps with a girl he has been friends with almost his entire life but he still doesn't say anything, there is a surprise party for him, she shows up with another guy, its like two weeks later, and he's all upset, she leaves, and the monster attacks new york and all he can think about is her now i am going to put a spoiler, this references the ending scene people are talking about, and I know this is contradictory to my point about the movie Spoiler for those who said the movie had clues, okay we have the last scene with something falling in the ocean, remember Hud talks about superman and how he got here? pretty much the same concept, interesting huh?
No need for spoilers for me because I don't plan on watching. I'm kind of curious about what you're talking about in your spoilers though. If I need to watch it to understand it I will.

I would suggest that the movie as actually about the quest to find the girl and the monster was simply the obstacle thrown in the way of that quest. A lot like Titanic was really about Jack and Rose and the whole sinking ship thing was simply the environment in which it happened.
