Greatness are the only words that can describe this movie, plan on watching it again on IMAX this time. This and Kickass are the best of the year so far IMO.

So you guys are satisfied with the ending?? I wanted it to be a little bit more ambitious and elaborate but it just kept on spinning??

I saw this for a second time.. 2 days in a row.

I must've blanked out or something when I watched it the first time. Watching it the second time made a lot of the things much clearer. I'm going to write a 20 page essay about this now.

seriously tho, the ending is still a little spotty for me. Everyone seems to have their own different opinion about the movie.

After watching it for second time, I feel like Cobb could be dreaming this whole thing. I mean in their dreams, they were such untouchable superheros (exception: the last samurai). However the chase scene where Cobb was being chased by the Cobol people seemed like a dream too. Dood just couldn't be shot, very similar to the dreams.

Yeah particularly that whole scene when I saw it, I was like what the heck is going on?? Is he dreaming, is this reality, is this a dream within a dream, I got lost for a little bit but still was visually entertained nonetheless...

i felt like his trinket was about to stop spinning, it seemed to have slowed down and it seemed to have gotten more wobbly. if it wasn't going to stop spinning then it would have stayed in constant motion.

The optimistic side of me wants to believe that. But then, why were the kids the exact same age as before? And in the same position?

did they say how much time had passed from when he left to when he work up in the airplane? i know they kept mentioning how much time is equivalent in the dream world and that always seemed much smaller than the time in the real world. remember when he was talking to his kids on the phone? they were asking about when their mom was gonna come back so it couldn't have been that much later and same clothes, same spot could merely have been a coincidence, right?

Nolan could be trying to show us that this symbolizes Cobb's life has finally moved on. For the longest time the kids wore the same clothes, played in the same positions. And since he left, Cobb couldn't see past that, he was stuck at that same spot... but the ending simply represents normalcy back in his life.

at least that's the theory of someone I know

I'm still convinced that Cobb is in a dream world at the end. There are just so many evidence throughout the movie that supports it.

Nolan did give us a choice to make our own theory tho by making the little spinning thing wobble a bit (but still spinning strong) before it ended.

are there good quality videos up yet of the hotel spinning fight scene? I could watch that 100 times in a row and not get bored.

Either of you care to explain what about it that you didn't like?

And Shutter Island was really damn good, but it wasn't amazing. Inception was amazing.

OMG, bringing the baby is just about the worst thing in a movie going experience ever, I despise those people bringing their damn toddler!!!
Yes and Candy wrappers too, is another annoying pet peeve bit that can ruin an experience...

Here's a question Inception or TDK? I know they are two very different movies but...

If Saturday or Sunday haven't happened yet, is this number just for Thursday midnight and Friday showings or projections for the weekend?

On the question of TDK vs Inception, I am a HUGE comic book/graphic novel guy but Inception was so mind-blowing and original that I have to give it the edge. Originality always scores big points with me due to all the remakes and re-boots going around today.

The $58 million is the overall weekend projection. However, it will most likely alter by Sunday. You make a valid point about Inception's originality. It's probably the smartest movie I've ever seen and they just don't make em like this but I can't decide if I can put it over TDK. The way that Nolan put a superhero movie into a crime drama was incredible.

It took Nolan 8 years to finish Inception's script.

Amazingly intricate, heart-felt movie that seriously grabs ahold of your mind and bends it in every direction.

    Simply fantastic.

Watching people walk out 2 hours into the movie was surprising though.

The last one was during the ending. Captured every emotional bit.

I went to midnight so there wasn't that problem. And from what I could tell, everyone seemed to think it was great.

I don't see how anyone could walk out though. Even if you don't have a clue about whats going on, the action scenes should be entertaining enough.
