Very interesting. Wikipedia somewhat spoils it...but sounds pretty f'd up. Spoiler From Wikipedia, it almost sounds like the mom, who apparently is the creator of this hoax, is living out some weird fantasy...or is trying to escape a taxing life, maybe from having to care for two disabled stepsons. I dunno.
I have a problem with movie titles that get me excited about lunch, hush puppies, and kickin' back with buds talking Rockets. This is the South - don't be puttin' "catfish" in your movie titles and have it be some stupid stuff like this!
What's a good place in Austin for catfish...I like it either blackened or fried....cajun seasonings FTW.
I guess having an alias on clutchfans just wasn't enough. He had to take it to a whole other level...
This is NOT a horror/suspense movie. Don't believe the trailer. Worst case of false advertising since The Never Ending Story.
Eh...freaked me out.....but It is late and I'm the only one up. For the lazy people... <object width="640" height="385"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/AFKe75Q6eVw?fs=1&hl=en_US"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/AFKe75Q6eVw?fs=1&hl=en_US" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="640" height="385"></embed></object>
yeah, WTF is up with this trailer...i saw an interview today with this guy and the 2 camera men...first of all they're complete dorks....second, he said the story basically was about him photographing a dancer, then this little girl from where ever facebooks him to request permission to paint it, sends him the painting by mail, and they become sort of pen pals....eventually he learns about her older sister, who's a dancer, and realizes he likes her, so he decides to go to their home and meet her. Nothing he said or implied was even slightly scary or thrilling...unless it's one of those crazy stories where it turns out the person was dead all along and he was facebooking with a ghost
Hoover's by UT campus is usually pretty darn good for southern food, I haven't tried their catfish though.
It is a real documentary. Saw it, would not see it again, didn't hate it. 60% into the movie I started hating it, got really bored, 93% into it I was ready to leave, then, at 94% through it got somewhat interesting. Kind of... its almost decent. In the end though I just didn't really care.
