Iron Man 2 and Thor are planned for release in 2010. Captain America and the Avengers are planned for release in 2011.
I can see brad pitt though I think he might have to lose his charm. Someone that's stiff that could play Cap would be Casper Van Dien. I think he might be too short and sucks as an actor but he has that all american look. Blonde, blue eyes, strong jawline and cleft chin. Well that's how I imagine Cap. i'd be happy with reynolds but he is already going to play deadpool
Damn you! I had no idea who Casper was so I looked him up and somehow ended up on a ghey site. I think Reynolds would make a horrible Capt America.. just something about his face. I imagine Capt America as someone with a 5 o'clock shadow and messy hair and just an all around junkie. I don't know why. But I dunno, we all thought Tobey would be weird for Spidey and I'm sure there were skeptics on Robert Downey playing Ironman.. but they somehow came out fine. I think it's more about the story line than the actor. If the story is good, then most actor will do.
It's the guy from starship troopers. . He's just got that young clean look to him that I'd imagine Captain would have.
Yeah thanks for telling me NOW after my eyes have been violated. He does have that look, but isn't he too pretty for someone that represents America? I envision someone like Stalone when he was young, cept with a little depression look and messy facial. But screw all that... Let OBAMA play capt America!
I hope there is no giant man/ant man they seem cheesy as hell to me. Beast was an Avenger, established, and played well by Frasier. They should use him on the team. Hopefully they scratch ant man/giant man and add some more appealing characters. Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver- Magneto tie. Vision. War Machine. Etc... Maybe by 2010 Marvel will have the rights to its X-Men and some other characters back? Anyone have a clue? CHEESY... AS... HELL... Ant-Man, lol
Wow, I'm tempted to say bingo..but he's too old IMO. I guess they could spin it. Viggo is in fantastic shape.
Rumor: Will Smith as Captain America??? EXCLUSIVE: Is Will Smith The New Captain America? Published by Rick Marshall on Monday, September 8, 2008 at 12:14 pm. Will SmithWhen Marvel announced that “Captain America” was making its way to the big-screen, fans everywhere began speculating who would be donning the famous red-white-and-blue tights. Nothing has been heard since, but during an MTV News interview regarding his role in “Miracle at St. Anna,” actor Derek Luke let slip that a very prominent - and surprising - face could be the star of Marvel Studios’ next blockbuster film. “I heard they offered Will Smith ‘Captain America,’” said Luke, adding that the intriguing casting rumor “just shows you how times have changed.” While this word through the Hollywood grapevine is nothing more than a rumor at this point, it should be noted that Marvel hasn’t shied away from changing up the race - and gender - of established characters in recent years. Upon kicking off his celebrated take on “The Ultimates” (Marvel’s re-imagining of their classic superteam The Avengers), Mark Millar changed S.H.I.E.L.D. head honcho Nick Fury from a crew-cut, cigar-chomping, middle-aged white man to, well… Sam Jackson. The decision, though aggressively debated back when the series debuted, seemed to receive some validation earlier this year when Jackson made his post-credits cameo in “Iron Man” as Fury. Smith himself is no stranger to the four-color world, having recently starred as a down-on-his-luck superhero in “Hancock.” Given the success of that film however, it seems almost a given that a sequel could be in the offing. That makes the prospect of Smith starring in yet another superhero franchise seem unlikely, especially given the subversive tone of “Hancock.” Along with providing some fresh material for the “Captain America” rumor mill, Luke also mentioned an interest in jumping into the superhero movie scene himself, and offered up a few characters he’d like to bring to the big screen. “I would love to jump into Green Lantern,” said Luke. “There are a lot of stories I’m into… [like] Black Panther.”
Hancock sucked, though. This could be good, if true. I could get behind a Will Smith Captain America.
That was quick: Will Smith Not Captain America Awww Hell Yeah! Will Smith Is Not Captain America! Hey folks, Harry here to restore your faith in the world - Multiple sources from MARVEL have confirmed that Derek Luke, of Spike Lee's MIRACLE AT ST. ANNA, doesn't know what he's talking about when it comes to Will Smith and CAPTAIN AMERICA. Marvel never offered the part, nor did they approach or entertain a conversation about Will Smith for CAPTAIN AMERICA. That said - I'm sure they have a few parts that they'd like him for, just not Captain America. So there ya go. They haven't gone insane and we don't need to be confused, angry and scared about it anymore.
Flash would be the perfect role for him. With his humor and Flash known for his wit, it would be perfect. What about this guy for Thor?
