    Well done.

    "Damn rights you're scared."
"Don't need to go heel'd on a tub like you."
"You gonna do something? Or just stand there and bleed?"

I see your Kurt Russell and raise you, for the killer, sir: VAL KILMER as Captain United States of America*?

    "I'm your 'huckle berry.'"
"Oh... I'm sorry, Johnny... I forgot you were theah... you may go now."
    "Say WHEN."

    * America is Alaska and Greenland all the way down to Tierra Del Fuego.

I think Ryan Reynolds would make a good Captain America, aside from the fact that he's Canadian. He's got the bulk/muscle to play him and he's not a bad actor either.

I believe Ryan Reynolds has a cameo as a certain Merc with a mouth in another Marvel movie. Plus I can't see Cap cracking fart jokes while in the trenches.

Reynolds still isn't wide enough. He would have to work on his lats and shoulders. Casting him as Cap wouldn't be a problem- Deadpool either has a mask on or is horribly burned/disfigured with his mask off.

    1- Christian Bale
-he weighed what? 110lbs in that one weird movie
-he weighed what? 250lbs of fat in that SAME movie
-he weight what? 220lbs of muscle in Batman?

Roids, personal trainers, etc... Leo can come out looking like Hulk Hogan in 3 months. He is also a good actor, so its hard to count out good acting. As Marvel I would be scared he wouldn't sign on for the sequels and Avengers, I could see Marvel biting the bullet and doing the 1 movie with Leo just because of his star power.

Anyways it doesn't matter. I already told you guys who got the role.

Man! Reynolds would have been the perfect "Spider Man"!! I read somewhere he's interested in the live action "Flash" movie that's being tossed around.

I still remmber Hulk Hogan movies.

I think The Rock (he has now dropped that name completely, btw, and is listed as 'Dwane Johnson' for Get Smart) is the exception rather than the rule.

Ryan Reynolds + (almost) any comic book character = good as gold for me! I'll go see any movie he's in just to go see him, regardless of subject matter.

Am i the only one that always thought Captain America was one of the gayest Marvel heroes, he brings that lame DC comics feel. Although a deadpool movie would be sick...

I always thought Cap was cool. But I think a lot of people agree with you, even Marvel. Probably the reason why it is taking so long for them to make a Captain America movie while there are already 2 Hulk's, 3 X-Men, etc... Its also probably the reason why they want someone like Dicaprio, to provide credibility to what might be considered a cheesy character.

I could see that, especially with other Cap movies out there.

But, I think he's probably the most realistic and symbolic super hero. With the right director and script, it could be really good movie. Capt could never gain the popularity, like Superman or SPiderman for some reason though. But, his stories are usually a bit more than fighting some meglomaniac or crazy mutant. Alot of his stories actually had some nice down to earth villains.

So what's everyone's take on the costume for the movie? You think they'll tone it down or they go America all over everybody's ass?

If we're going to take candidates from that age range, the best pick would be The Chin, Bruce Campbell.
