http://www.forbes.com/sites/markhug...dition-blu-ray-releases-july-16/#7c87627a6f9f Ok I can't wait for this. I need this now
I don't think Wonder Woman needs to be introduced at all. Any of the original JL can carry a movie, without needing to be a cameo in another, first. Also, a Black Widow movie would probably be boring, in the same way a Hawkeye movie would be boring. You'd need a really, really strong story to "hide" the fact that the titled superhero has no superpowers. Winter Soldier worked because of the whole "who's really in control; people or big gov't?" story. It served to hide the fact that CA and BW, and to a lesser extent, Falcon, didn't really have Pulsar cannons or a magical hammer, or that they couldn't turn into a green smashing giant. As another poster has said, though, I think Marvel is moving forward with Captain Marvel as a standalone movie, in preparation for Phase 3. The problem with making standalone movies, is timing. Marvel has already established their stories, and in fact, are almost done with their grand idea of the Avengers. DC, meanwhile, only has Man of Steel as its "Iron Man 1." I think DC wanted to hit the ground sprinting. I'm not sure what DC's timeline is, but by putting in / introducing multiple JL characters in the same movie, I think DC is trying to speed up the process. It's a race DC is trying to win, but Marvel is almost at the finish line while DC just heard the starter's pistol.
Story was all over the place and I keep telling myself lex is just a front. It's the joker all along. It's not bad nor is it good. It's ok. 2 out of 4 stars.
Once we have a full-team Justice League established, I would like for DC to put out a movie from one of the cartoon stories. Maybe "Justice League: Doom" or "The Flashpoint Paradox."
Captain Marvel was announced a long time ago. It will be Marvel's first female lead solo movie, but I believe it won't be coming out until after Infinity War 1/2.
Except Ant Man actually made sense in comparison. Not sure why your example is a solo origin movie though. Avengers, or even Iron Man 2 is a much better comparison. I finally saw Flashpoint Paradox and Justice League: War the other night. Both were outstanding, especially Flashpoint. Liked both a lot better than BvS, Batman scenes withstanding. Spoiler One of my favorite scenes in BvS was Flash talking to Batman from the future...it's odd they made that a dream inception scene, but whatever.
This. For those who said it made no sense, what parts didn't make sense? It was very easy to follow. If you think Bruce's dreams made no sense then that's not a product of a plot hole; that's an interpretation of a tormented character.
So who do you guys think The Flash was talking about? Spoiler "You were right about him". My thinking is that he's talking about Supes and that Bruce was right about him being a bad guy or whatever. What's the story with evil Superman? And connection with Darkseid or Brainiac?
Spoiler During the scene he said, "Fear him!!" And he also said, "im too far back arent i? " Given that, my guess is Darkseid. And he has control over Supes. Therefore Lois is key to bringing Supes to his correct mind.
Lol since you insist...I can't wait to hear the excuses... Spoiler These are just the things I remember. First off Batman now has premonitions of the future? Okay.. Superman can hear any time Lois' stupid ass is in trouble, no matter where he is in the world, but somehow doesn't hear them kidnapping his mother? And has no clue where that is? Superman says he wants to talk with Batman, after everything Batman gets inches from his face and begins talking finally. Before he can finish the sentence Superman pushes him away and attacks him. For those of you who will use the excuse that Batman attacked him first none of those initial attacks would have even hurt to Superman. Batman is absolutely determined to kill Superman, is about to do it..and stops because their mother's have the same name? All that 1%, absolute certainty talk and he's magically not a threat now because of his adopted mom's name? Give me a ****ing break. Why would Lex who is a crazy genius leave evidence (the experimental bullets) as evidence when he's trying to set up Superman? Why even use experimental bullets. They were shooting human beings. Call me crazy, but I'm guessing the same ones we've been using for a hundred years would have worked. Just like Man of Steel...Lois is magically there any time anything ever happens. Only this time their excuse is she borrowed a helicopter. Doomsday was basically made in 10 seconds while Superman just stands around and watches it happen. The fight goes on for like 5 minutes before they decide the only hope is to send a nuke into the atmosphere, which there is magically no fall out from. At the end Batman who has shown he has no issues with killing or branding enemies decides not to brand the guy who kills Superman? Hahaha. I can forgive a few oversights in any movie, but this one was a constant questioning of the viewer's intelligence. This is just the **** I remember off the top of my head.
Really enjoyed the movie. Unfortunately I'm not huge into the comics or cartoons. Are there any cartoons/movies I should watch to help enhance this experience?
