Why is everyone expecting Lex to be an evil person 24/7? He too has a secret identity, just like Clark plays up the ignorant reporter and Bruce plays a billionaire playboy.
i'm still on the fence but i will obviously be watching it eventually. I did not like the trailer though since it revealed more than it needed, imo. It would have been cool to have those things be more of a surprise.
What if everything in the trailer is only like the first half of the movie? How do we even KNOW that the trailer revealed too much?
I don't follow movie studio announcements, am not a fanboy, and didn't put much thought into the movie. I do like trailers though, and even though the conclusion is not difficult to draw if you play out the movie in your head, I don't play out the movies in my head. I'm just a casual fan, and now that I know the major plot twists due to that trailer, combined with not liking the 2nd half of MOS, and not liking 300, I probably won't see this until it comes out on cable. I think trailer spoilers can ruin it for casual fans in addition to picky movie nerds. It revealed Batman and Superman joining forces in a movie titled "Batman vs. Superman," so that's too much for me, lol.
Because there is no way that Batman / Superman meet each other, fight, make up, then end up fighting Doomsday with Wonder woman in the first half of the movie.
I'm truly stunned that the idea of Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman teaming up in a movie whose tagline is "Dawn of Justice" is a spoiler to even a casual. Seriously. That takes an extreme amount of paying no attention whatsoever. When the name of the movie was announced, my (at the time) eight year old son's first reaction was "Oh, I guess they're setting up the Justice League."
Yeah, not sure why they did this; it's worse than the Cap3 trailer for revealing stuff. Leave some big reveals and word of mouth will do the advertising for you. If I had any skin in this game (Marvel fanboy, DC well-wisher), I would be pissed.
MOS fan here. That trailer was horrible in the last 20 seconds. Spoiled the movie and crap CGI for Doomsday. Doomsday surfing down the side of the building was so cheesy looking.
Didn't even know about the tagline. Only glanced through this thread looking for trailers mainly. It seems like quite a few in here didn't pay close enough attention to figure out the spoiler before seeing it either. Also, I was vaguely aware of the comic book story in the news 10 years or however long ago about Superman dying.
I thought the trailer gave away too much. :-/ The CGI bad guy wasn't done well. And Eisenberg looks beyond awful. Cringeworthy. :-( That said, I will see the movie, but probably as a rental.
