Powerful is the word I would describe this. It was a powerful film, one that just made me think when I left the theater.

I guess a few thoughts, with spoilers:

    1. Perhaps it's because I'm too young and thus wasn't the target audience, but I never liked Pfieffer's Catwoman. Never did. And Hathaway's performance really was quite excellent, far better than I had anticipated.
    2. Comparing Bane with Ledger just can't be done. They're about as different as they can get, from that perspective.
    3. I'm STILL kicking myself over never realizing that R'as in the comics had a daughter, not a son.

Overall? This has been quite a ride, and easily the best superhero films ever. I won't call it the best superhero work ever ( though then again whether my choice would qualify is a matter of debate), but it's excellent.

I'll probably rant more after getting some sleep.

Wow. That is all I can say. This movie was unbelievably fantastic, no matter all the hype built around it. It has a little bit of everything, and Nolan does a brilliant job of combining it all together to make a masterpiece. I almost felt like I was part of the movie while watching it, that's how big of an impact it had, or at least on me. I think it sits up there with the Dark Knight, maybe even a notch above it, it's that good in my opinion. I've been a huge fan of Nolan's trilogy all along as its been truly exceptional. I would suggest watching the first two movies prior to seeing this one so that everything is clear and easier to understand. I will be seeing this again in theaters very soon, if not tomorrow. Terrific movie, gets a 10/10 from me.

Me too... The Dark Knight is easily the best film of the series from beginning to end and the fight scenes were better in the Dark Knight than it is in Rises.. Also some of the stakes being raised was incredibly unrealistic and would only happen in a comic book movie.. Like the football stadium for instance????

Don't take this as a personal attack VHB, but isn't this the problem with all the hard core batman fans? Or even just the casual movie-goers.

It's hard to appease everyone. Something like that football stadium scene, is either gonna amaze you or you'll be the one saying that's so damn cheezy, no?

    Just sayin.

It's all good, like I said before, I really really really Like Rises and I never said it was bad, in fact it was incredibly entertaining and I will buy it on bluray, I just didn't think it was on the Level of Dark Knight..

True imax would've been in Galveston. Seems like a lot of you loved it enough to watch it there. I did last night and enjoyed it

Right. I honestly probably like TDK better than TDKR but then again theyre almost 2 totally different movies.

Heath Ledger made TDK epic and this movie was just plain BA in its entirety. (story line, action, suspense, acting, etc.)

Do any of you have little youtube summaries you recommend for the first couple of movies? I'm not going to have time to watch the entire films before I see TDKR on Tuesday.

    Dude, it's SATURDAY MORNING.

You MUST watch both prior films first, or you are wasting your time and money.

No you are wrong. The TDKR pretty much sums up what happened in the first two movies...no need to watch the whole trilogy of the greatest comic book film to be made ever..Kinda like LOTR, just watch return of the king bruh.

There aren't enough positive words to describe this movie. Ya it was a bit predictable but I dont give a ****.

    Didn't watch the first two.

I followed it along pretty well.

I enjoyed it. But am I the only one that thought it was too long?

People, I saw them both and loved them, but would benefit from a quick refresher.

Am booked solid until I walk in to the theater, so I can't sit down and watch five hours of video before Tuesday. Sue me! :)

The first 30 min+ or so were rather slow and a bit boring. After that, it was amazing. Watching it again at 4!

In that case just go watch the third one. They flashback on some of the more important things to remember from the previous 2.
