I personally loved Begins more than DK... much more depth in terms of character development, if what they say is true about loving BB then youll love DKR, then i am pumped!
i got tickets for the midnight showing. how early should we go to get me and 5 of my friends good seats?
Even the bad reviews I've read said it's fabulous, but they just didn't like it as much as The Dark Knight. Meh, that will be personal preference of course; they should be careful about giving it a rotten based on that assessment, but whatev!
Just got my tickets at the Studio Grill up here for Friday night after work, can't do the midnight screenings since my college bud drug me to see the Fellowship of the Ring....
So correct me if I'm wrong because I'm somewhat just making an assumption here (at least I admit it), but I'm getting the feeling that fans are really loving it and even think it tops TDK, but regular movie-goers/critics are the ones that see imperfections. Is that accurate?
From the reviews from the critics on RT it seems to be very few who gave it a rotten. It has actually been very well received overall by critics. From those rotten reviews you'll either notice they said it was too long or they missed the Joker. One critic that actually gave TDK a bad score actually gave this new one a good one. But overall critics seem to love it.
I've tried to avoid reading reviews, but some of the negative blurbs I glanced at basically say there is too much going on, as in too many plot threads. My guess is they are talking about Joseph Gordon Levitt for starters. Though some of the early reactions were saying that JGL's character is very important for what he represents.
True, this is normally the case. But i remember this one being around 84% at the start of the week and now is 87%. I've rarely seen this happen and the reviews are saying its kind of a mold of BB and TDK in the sense that it centralizes on Bruce Wayne's character while still bringing the knockout punch of action featured in TDK.
I actually loved Batman Begins more, and of course TDK was epic with the typical fan, so if this is like a blend of the two movies, that will be something ...you have the excellent story, plot with the KO action - I did see that one reviewer stated the last 45 minutes will blow you away ...yep obviously excited to see this end ...
Just back from media preview. Non spoiler impressions Tom Hardy off the chain. at least 4 spontaneous audience bursts of applause. Ya'll gonna j*zz.
As a kid I always drifted toward Superman and Spiderman. Can't seem to get into Batman...did like the Dark Knight...but only seen it once.
