Those aren't real.

The way the last viral worked was to try and make it seem like it was all real world. They wouldn't post videos on a youtube account where the user account has an avatar from "The Dark Knight."

A new photo from the UK based Croydon set of The Dark Knight Rises has emerged, and it actually showcases some of director Christopher Nolan's action prowess. This image is of a mysterious masked man climbing through the window of a skyscraper. Some speculate that it is Tom Hardy as Bane. Or it could be his stuntman. I would call this a HUGE spoiler no matter how small the part may seem.

It’s obligatory for anyone writing about this news to point out two things. One, we hate writing it. Two, we’re going to anyway. Consider it a casting announcement that just happens to have bigger implications for a movie that should remain as secretive as possible. After all, at a time when Chuck Klosterman is wondering whether The 6th Sense could be made in our spoiler-happy internet world, it’s especially appropriate to see a scoop like this come down the pipeline.

It’s not a massive twist, but it could be a game-changer, so if you don’t want any of the surprises for The Dark Knight Rises ruined, read no further. If you don’t mind, or are willing to take the chance that this won’t be that big a deal, feel free to find out what actor filmed a scene for the movie.

Last chance to not look

Liam Neeson has reprised his role as R’as al Ghul.

According to Drew over at HitFix, Neeson spent a day filming a scene, but it’s unclear whether it was a flashback or something that takes place within the timeline of the current story. It’s also curious that he was only there a day. Would Nolan hire Neeson to come out purely as a misdirection? Is the scene that short/small?

This situation creates nothing but unanswerable questions, but one possibility is that Christopher Nolan is bringing a little of the supernatural into his real-world Batman by way of the Lazarus Pit – a device that would do the trick of bringing al Ghul back to life.

Is that a good move for the story? Who knows. If there’s any director that handle sliding magic into his grit, it’s Nolan. Regardless, it’s unbelievably premature to begin speculating – a fact that hasn’t stopped fans or websites like ours in the past. So, speculate away.

Drew is usually a solid source for these types of scoops, but if someone starts reporting that they saw Heath Ledger on set, I’ll call shenanigans.

Not that big of a deal if you have kept up with TDKR on forums such as Superherohype.

It's already been rumored for a long time he was going to be in it during flashback scenes with Bane. Supposedly, he finds Bane and trains him, etc. like he did Bruce.

Not sure how much truth there may be to this but the site seems to think its very plausible.

The Dark Knight Rises' Has 100% More Batcopters!

The Batwing was such an iconic part of Batman lore that Tim Burton felt the need to include it in his first Batman movie. To date, however, Christopher Nolan's Batman has yet to take flight. That may be about to change in The Dark Knight Rises, if the latest news from London-based boom operator Frederick Z. Roche is true.

Quoth the Twitter: "'The Dark Knight Rises': Inside Info, they are Building 2 attack helicopters in the same design as the Bat Mobile from The Dark Knight! BOOM"

There are enough 'sics' in the world for that post, but hey, that's Twitter for you. Thanks go out to Rope of Silicon for pointing it out.

If true, and it sounds plausible, it must be said that including a Batcopter makes a lot more sense in Nolan's universe than a Batplane. It would be kinda hard to hide a whole runway in a Gotham City that adheres to any sense of logic whatsoever. Helipads, however, are compact enough to allow for a modicum of stealthiness.

Now where's our damned Batboat?!

Can somebody message me or email me and let me know if this thread is indeed spoiler free (or spoiler tagged), especially about the plot twist that apparently leaked and is floating around the internet? I really want to read the thread but I am doing my level best not to get spoiled on this. I want to be genuinely surprised by the story and don't want to be spoiled on story details in particular. I guess one more efficient way to answer my question would be by repping me and including a short note there. Not that it really matters.

I just got done reading Knightfallart 1 and WOW! Amazing novel so far. I believe we will truly see Batman tested in this film like never before.

I just now saw this. Man, why can't they ever make Batman look like Batman? This guy did it. I love Nolan's Batman, but the costume in this trailer, and especially the cowl, are what Batman looks like. And it is so much cooler than any suit (and especially any cowl) they've used in any of the films.
