When you grow weary after calling him dumb, that's when Aquaman starts talking to your sashimi at the most inconvenient moment.
Who cares if we call him a vigilante or a super hero. It doesn't change anything. I trust Nolan to make a great movie again. And we will see how he uses the character Bane.
One thing for sure.. Nolan's Batman movies don't have flashbacks. I predict in Rises they won't explain Bane's history and he might just come out of nowhere and kick Batman's ass.. similar to Joker.. but this time Bane causes Batman physical pain.. As for Catwoman I think she steals something from Bruce in the movie.. One thing I love about Nolan's Batman is that every little detail weaves into the plot..
It will be fascinating to see how Nolan develops Bane's portrayal and Catwoman's transformation. I imagine he will use "Year One" Catwoman as his basis and go from there. Bane will be tougher but more interesting to develop. I think we will see some background with Bane much like what we saw with Bruce Wayne in Begins. I don't think we will see Bane with his venom, minus a quick hint to it, but rather the criminal mastermind/self-trained warrior version that fits Nolan's batverse a lot better.
I doubt this very much.. Nolan doesn't waste time showing a character's history unless it flows with the plot.. plus having scenes showing how Bane came to be is too cliche.
With Bruce he embedded his transformation into the story and gave us a peak into his creation. I could see Nolan much like what he did with Cobb(Inception) and Leonard(Memento), giving us glimpses into their backstory to explain their actions in the present day. Bane's time in prison, his training and reasoning why he is after Batman. Heck, I wouldn't be surprised if he already knows Batman is Wayne by the beginning of the movie and we see how is comes to find out. Joker has always been a mysterious character, different origins and no really motive besides chaos, so not explaining where he came from helps the story a great deal. Catwoman and Bane's background is pretty widely known and part of their iconic nature, which tells me we will see Catwoman's transformation happen during the movie and Bane's through glimpses throughout the movie.
I could see Levitt in a DA type role...perhaps a hot shot young DA, easily corruptible, taking Harvey Dent's place. People will look to him to continue the White Knight legacy Dent left but he will fail.
Hugo Strange EDIT: I guess Strange is just a rumor. I thought he was confirmed months ago.And even featured in the new video game. Oh well.
Or maybe a cop working under Gordon; high ambitions; seeking to take down Gordon by uncovering his "friendship" with Batman. Maybe something along those lines.
I wouldn't mind him being the Riddler. It's not like he needs to be all over the movie, there's room for him to play a small but important role.
