This hallway fight scene looks pretty actionesque to me.. I like this more than the whole Expendables movie... I could't see a single shot in that movie.. <iframe title="YouTube video player" class="youtube-player" type="text/html" width="640" height="390" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/XcnSU0LOkH8" frameborder="0" allowFullScreen></iframe>
I'm just wondering.. how they could possibly market Bane and Catwoman.. when the Dark Knight came out everybody loved Joker and wore t-shirts and even put on his make-up.. they're gonna have to be mighty creative with those two villains and come up with something catchy similar to "Why so serious?"
You really dont think there are gonna be just as many slutty looking catwoman costumes at halloween as there have been joker costumes over the past couple years? Catwoman would be very easy to market, also who cares about marketing? I care about the movie
lol at pearl harbor and armageddon having better editing and sound than a movie like dark knight and inception. Funny that Dark knight and Inception even though totally fictional felt more real than ANY movie Bay has directed. All Bay movies look forced and over the top with fake cgi.
You all made my day with these responses to pericles. His moniker should be changed to "hector" right about now, because y'all are dragging him around the walls of the city! LOL.
the whole Joker chase scene is better than ANYTHING ANYTHING ANYTHING Bay ever DREAMED of doing. and Nolan sets context and leadup for those scenes that Bay misses entirely. i honestly can't believe this is even being discussed.
Really don't understand why there is an issue over action scenes, villains and Anne Hathaway not being sexy enough. Nolan has delivered two of the best comic book adaptations we've ever seen and some of the best overall suspense movies in recent memory. Would I have wanted someone better looking then Maggie Gyllenhaal in TDK, sure, did it even come close to ruining the movie...NO. Anne Hathaway is a sexy lady, not quite my taste but still sexy and perfect for the role. Nolan's action scenes have been good to great, sure we haven't had explosions galore but they've been suspenseful and fulfilling while avoiding tons of fluff. The Villains they chose have TONS of history with Batman and are iconic. Bane is to Batman what Doomsday is to Superman...an equal.
Does it matter? Is the measure of the movie in your mind whether people dress up like the villain for Halloween?
Because comic books are books, not live action. Its about the story. And even then Batman is a crime franchise like Heat, not a superhero movie.
LOL...are people really questioning Nolan's ability to direct another Batman movie? omg, things don't blow up and make mushroom like plumes for no reason...Michael Bay FTW! villains suck because Halloween 2012 won't have any catwoman or bane costumes...end of the world!!!
Exactly. Forget TDK for a second, Batman Begins was widely considered the best Batman movie ever made when it first came out, and the very least was better than all the ones after Keaton/Nicholson. The movie got rave reviews, an 84% on rottentomato, 90% from the audience. Then comes TDK and it's praised as easily the best comic movie ever, gets a 94% on the tomato meter, gets an Academy Award win, etc. Now comes the third movie in what has been a brilliant series so far and people are complaining about the action scenes and the lack of a Halloween costume to be marketed? I don't know if should say "lol" or "cocaine is a helluva drug."
